There is no other place I would ever adopt a pet! We've gotten 3 of our 4 from here and they have all been healthy, well mannered and amazing. Our sweet angel Potato passed away and they have been so kind to let us barge into the new life saving center and snuggle the babies. We ended up finding our missing piece there and tale him home tomorrow.I seriously cannot thank them enough for all they do!

I had the best experience with A New Leash on Life. From the moment we arrived to their Wednesday adoption event to the signing of the adoption contract, they were so helpful, attentive and willing to help. They showed us all the dogs and gave us their stories and let us ask so many questions. They even let us do a trial adoption run based on our situation which was amazing. Patsi was responsive over text and just great to work with! So much appreciation for the people running this adoption center. We love our new fur baby, Tootsie, (used to me Esmé)

Near impossible to get in communication with and ridiculous hours of operation. However, most are volunteers so as frustrating as those two things are, it’s somewhat understandable. Great staff, clean enough space, and we adopted a kitten that became the best pet either of us has ever had. Once you make it there the rest is pretty easy.

Buyer beware! Been trying to get ahold of them about an animal that is not a fit with my animals they responded to one email a month ago and have not responded to the my next two emails. Their line of communication is almost non existent understanding that they are vollenter based but when an animal is not a fit they should do their best to help rehome or re foster the animal to ensure it is safe from harm. I currently do not feel they are concerned for the pets well being.

I called the animal shelter to report a dog ive seen on Bibb Garrett Rd.Im a truck driver and ive stopped twice to feed the dog.It hangs out at the bridge before Endeavor Way.Hes a young light golden color pit with floppy ears, very malnourished.I was able to get him to take meat from my hand but he then runs off.Can someone please use a live trap cage with food to rescue him.

I went here with my daughter and grandsons because they are fostering a cute 8-month-old female chocolate lab....She's a wonderful little dog I wish I had a picture. Everyone should foster an animal if they can. The facility was very clean and the animals seemed happy enough to be there.

Buyer beware. I understand they are primarily volunteers, but it’s really not ethical to place dogs in a home with no follow up or support for the adopting family. I feel misled about the dog I received. I asked to return her to their care over two months ago and they have been completely unresponsive and unhelpful.

We ended up with a dog with aggressive behaviors (dominance, food aggression) that make it extremely difficult to find proper care for her when we are at work and we have to keep her separated from our other dog most of the time to prevent any fighting. She was fostered with 8 other dogs (at least that is what I was told at the time). The foster told me that she never got any toys to play with because the other dogs wouldn't let her have them. I suspect she was heavily bullied by this Foster's other dogs and nothing was done about it which is completely irresponsible and inexcusable, now she has these issues we have been trying to work on with trainers, but we still can't let her be alone with other dogs. The shelter totally lied about her demeanor, lied about her foster environment, and was totally unresponsive and unhelpful to us when we desperately needed help after she attacked our other dog that is 10 years old (happened right in front of us). These people will say anything just to get you to adopt a dog, so be very careful when dealing with them. They also lied about her age too. Said she was 3 months, then when we took her to the vet, vet said she was at least 6 months because she had all her adult teeth in. They should have known better.. Don't trust these people.

ADOPTERS BEWARE!!!! Once a pet is adopted communication lines with ANLOL become very sparse and nonexistent. I have emailed and gone through social media channels to try to reach them to no avail. Our adopted dog became aggressive towards my other dogs and children. I expressed not being able to foster him any longer after months of trying to contact them and I have gotten no response! This organization is bad news for adoption families! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

Excellent place to consider if your looking for a cat or dog to adopt! The people who run it were very friendly and helpful. All kinds of cats and dogs who need a great home. You would be supporting a great organization who in turn could give more animals a new leash on life 🙂🐕🐈

One of the best thrift stores in the area and best of all every $$ goes to animals. Always find good items reasonably priced. The people who work here are phenomenal.
