The staff is prejudice! I bought a couple of basic things like tissue and water and eggs only to leave the eggs on the candy shelf near self checkout. I was trying to arrange my basket so that I didn’t crush the eggs underneath the soda cans and bottled water. I mistakenly left the eggs and walked right out. Well i returned back to self checkout where I left them not even 10 minutes of leaving the first time to see they had been put up already. So I tell the old little lady and she went to go get the manager on duty. The manager comes out and begins interrogating me about two cartoons of eggs that she had seen me purchase the first time i was there! The kicker is she tried to confuse me with inaccurate question about my purchase as if I was going to go out my way to come back and steal TWO CARTONS of CLOVER VALLEY EGGS! Who else would return back to an exact spot and look for something specific as eggs. This lady needs to be removed from this already struggling business. SHAME SHAME SHAME on them both; one for being prejudiced and the other for standing by and allowing it!

We found most of what we needed at this location, but the place was such a safety hazard. I understand stock day can really be hectic but all those flattened boxes all over the floor can so easily cause someone to slip and fall. Please, when you unpack the boxes, place the flattened empties somewhere off the floor.

This store used to stay reasonably stocked, even during the height of covid. Now, not so much. They're consistently out of many food items as well as toiletries and otc medications. I used to shop here a few times a week. Now, it's a go only if I have to situation.

I come here all the time. Know the layout of the store. The current employees are all super sweet and very helpful. They even have fun with my 4 year old when hes being super funny. New paint in the parking lot and handicap spaces close to the doors for those that need them. I have no issues with this store

Great customer service! It doesn’t matter what day of the week I go in there- those girls are working—stocking the shelves and ringing people up. I get greeted when I walk through the door and if I need help with anything they don’t hesitate to stop what they’re doing and help me.

This store looks like they are closing down. The selves always look empty and it is hit or miss sometimes if they are going to have what I need. I had to get a different brand of dogfood from what I normally get because the shelves were bare. The same on there pain relievers.

They are very nasty. Very overpriced for my opinion and it is very cluttered. Trash on almost every aisle, miscellaneous items stuffed everywhere, always rearranging things and you never seem to find the things your looking for. I will never stop going just because it is close to my home. I still hate it though. It's a horrid convenience.:)

I have 2 dollar general stores very close to where I live. It would be more convenient for me to shop at, but due to the workers being so rude and the stores are very messy, I choose to drive to brookwood to shop. The workers are always polite and helpful, the store is clean. I will continue to shop here.

Just because it's convenient that's where they think they got you. The Prices getting higher and products getting smaller. It's starting to be a ripoff. It's cheaper to go on to town to the grocery store. You'll be better off in the long run.

Where to start?! This DG is so messy and very dirty. There are boxes upon boxes of merchandise that just sits right where customers need to walk- the aisles. A lot of products are opened with things missing, and I assume it is because it has been broken into and items stolen. The inside is dirty, and the outside matches that perfectly. There is trash everywhere along the sidewalk at the entrance. The parking lot isn't marked well and I've never had an employee be helpful or nice (or really even speak). Clean it up and I will review!

This place has the essentials. Aisles are always full of pallets that people are trying to stock between doing other jobs. Could be cleaner. Manager tries hard. Nice that it's convenient.

Went in to buy a tshirt and a soda but I didn't think a blessing was waiting gave a man in front of me his change for his total and told him to keep the change. When I paid for my total the shirt was 1.50 instead of 5.00 and the cashier spoke blessings over the situation. Will always shop here not because of the action but because of the reaction from the cashier "bless others and God will bless you". DG cashier

It's very good. Items easy to get to. Very clean on all Ikea. Employees are very curious and helpful. I really enjoy the Dollar General at Brookwood Al.

This place is doing the bare minimum to actually slow the virus spreading. No one is wearing masks (including the staff) and there seems to be no effort to get people to wear masks, including a lack of signage for such.

For over a week the credit/debit machines have been down, the store is ALWAYS in a state of disrepair, and the poor (and wonderful) staff is burdened with the roll of apologizing - I will be driving into Tuscaloosa for my shopping now (30+ miles roundtrip) I hope someone gets fired for the IT incompetence and letting this store drop so far into despair - SHAME on Dollar General management!

Market just okay because every time I go in there with my coupons my digital ones they always say there's a catch to it so even though it says you get so much off you have to be very Pacific but it don't tell you that in the rules

Why when you buy frozen or refrigerated foods do the cashiers here put your OTC meds in the SAME bag? Can make for some icky product before you make it home.

It's a dollar general they're all cluttered up and dirty but there is always one just a hop skip and a jump from where ever you are so I gave it 4 stars if it wasn't nasty it would get 5 but like I said they all cluttered and dirty
