My wife picked up "Goldie" from this shelter as my birthday present in March, 2007. The ladies working there at the time told my wife she was the best dog, and they were right. Goldie was about 3 years old at the time. She passed this week. Our hearts are broken, but she was the best dog I have ever known. She was so easy to love. The last 15+ years with her companionship has been priceless.Those that know what this experience is, know how bad it hurts, but those that know, would also do it again.

went this past friday to adopt a female boston terrier puppy. she was the only dog crated in the whole facility. you could tell that she was sick but we had assumed she needed to be wormed. immediately went to the vet to get a worming pill and set up an appointment for her to get checked up on monday. once we brought her home she began showing signs of parvo. severely. took her to the vet the very next morning and she had to be put down. went back up to the shelter today to speak with a employee regarding the situation and they said they were sorry and offered for us to take a different dog home. given we’ve already had such a terrible experience of course we wouldn’t want another dog from their facility. but they refused to give us a refund. i would really be careful adopting any animals from this facility. poor babies.

Came in and was Ted to see some puppies or dogs and the guys didn’t even want to get up and show us the dogs. Then it was “ we only have one dog “ while the other guy rolls his eyes because he has to actually get up. So rude and unprofessional that’s they should be ashamed to wear any kind of uniform. They are sitting on their behinds after lunch so I guess we didn’t need to give any animal a nice home one star is too many 🤬🤬🤬

I adopted Duke.... “Ron” the Shelter called him almost eight years ago. He was very timid with men. Now recently lost his sister. I was trying to find him an adult sister around six to ten. He is either twelve or thirteen years old. I do want to thank you for him. He is more aware of my schedule than I am. He see me off to work and let’s me hug him or kiss him on the nose. He jumps around like a puppy when I get home. He talks “barks” of joy. He is still so playful. He is always right there ready to greet me. He misses his sister, but he has never been an “only”.The tag said he was found in a warehouse. He was about four or five. He has come so far when dealing with men. He loves to run in the north forty. (Up top) He is very protective of his Momma. He thinks he is a “lap dog” when he is really too big. He is not a “lapdog” from lack effort or willingness, but lack of lap. He likes it when I sit on the floor. He has my whole leg length the lay on and get spoiled. He has finally figured out there will always be food! Thank you for my forever friend. If you know of a senior female, he does like to play with other dogs so we might be looking soon. I couldn’t find the pictures of your current animals. I found them when I got him. However, I was on a computer now I am on a phone. If you could help with this I would love it. Karla Maxwell

I adopted a puppy Friday went to vet immediately. The pup had to be euthanized the next morning due to serve case of parvo. They refused to give my money back. Sad

Easily accessible and fast service. It is annoying to have to pay $30 per stray cat that just show up. I think that is a county/state requirement not local.
