I just had a very humiliating shopping experience at the Boaz, Alabama Dollar Tree. There were two long lines at the registers and I was trying to help the cashier, Sarah, bag my items. After she rang them up, I picked up my gift bags to put them in another, larger bag that I already had in my buggy. I was having trouble getting the next bag off the dispenser and apparently, this aggravated her and she started started throwing and overstuffing my things into the bag. I was trying to take some of the things out of the bag to avoid damaging them and she said in a loud voice, “Don’t reach back here!” in front of a store full of customers. I told her that I didn’t want my things damaged because they were for a birthday party. After that, she stepped back from the register and refused to finish checking me out. She yelled to the store manager, Megan, to finish for her and they swapped registers. I tried explaining to Megan what happened and she defended Sarah’s bad behavior, saying she didn’t do what I personally witnessed her doing. In fact, one of the items was damaged and Sarah had to go get another one from the shelf, but instead of handing it to me, as I had already paid and was ready to go, she put it on the counter out of my reach so that Megan had to hand it to me. I told them that I was going to call the corporate office because they were both being disrespectful. She said that I was being disrespectful and, on my way out the door said, “When you call them, tell them that Megan said, “Hi!” Apparently this happens often enough that you all are on a first name basis. Needless to say, I am very disappointed about how all this went, as this is the main Dollar Trees where I shop. I understand that it is very hard to find good employees nowadays, but I can’t imagine that you all would find this as acceptable behavior for either one of them. You all should really train them more in customer service or at a minimum, not to be abusive towards your customers before you let them run your stores. - Sherri

November 2017 Everything changed at this dollar tree. What happened to the manager and the sweet daytime cashier that worked there for quite sometime?! They both disappeared at the same time! Now the management is unstable and they can't keep the same staff. Last friday I was there and a curly haired cashier lady had an attitude and didn't seem to want to work!

Just left here and wow. My wife and I are celebrating our late sons 1st birthday. Our son past in May of this year, and we was getting balloons for him. The employee went to go get her manager and she was very nice. But her manager however told her in a not so nice way if the line was backed up then tell them we don't have anymore were out. While she sat in the office. That's not good management. Would not recommend this place for people to work.

The parking lot and store front is always disgusting. Customer service was not "service" at all tonight. The cashier was rude from the beginning of our checkout experience. She rudely announced that the helium tanks were empty when she saw us looking at the balloons from the register. Two of the tanks still had the seal in place, but we didn't argue because the worker clearly needed to go home and unwind. The store was a disaster, not stocked very well, and had products, boxes, and debris everywhere. The other worker wasn't in uniform, but was kind enough to remind everyone each time five minutes passed via intercom.

Even though they have had to raise their prices by .25 cents on most items they still have many good deals and I save money with them over big box on many items.

I like shopping at the Dollar Tree because they are always getting in new merchandise, there's always different items available each time I visit, which isn't very often though. Also, everything is $1, so no worrying about price checks. Considering everything's so cheap, some of the items are cheaply made, useless, etc. On the other hand, there are also a lot of great deals and name brands. This particular DT is alright but most of the employees are hardly ever friendly and the store usually has stuff all over the place.

Me and this Mexican boy was in line behind a really slow cashier. The manager is taking 1 last person in her line so we stay in ours. Then this white lady comes up and the manager tells her she can take her since she had so few items. The boy infront of me had 2 items and I had 3 more than that woman. WTH? Be more consistent. Then the manager leaves and the line is all the way down the isle. Do not go into this store if you are in a hurry.

The store was a very dirty. Carts were sitting everywhere throughout the store. And it's not $1 anymore everything is $1.25, they should change their name.

I love Dollar Tree they are always so friendly! I tell my grandkids they can pick out anything they want and they think it's so neat! I go go to the Boaz ALstore and verone is so friendly and nice!

We ended up leaving a full shopping cart and walking out. This store was a mess and they only had one register open with the line long enough to reach the middle of one of the isles. Awful.

My go to place for every day needs. Many items are much cheaper...hard to beat a dollar! You can usually avoid the crowds here too!

Store looks horrible. Very little stock on shelves. Long line at check out. Dirty single serve drink coolers. And this store had posted a 92 rating from Health Dept.
