Our dog, Herbert, is almost 3 and has been coming to WTD since he was a little puppy! As soon as we roll down the window driving near, he knows where he is and where he is going. He always leaves exhausted but happy! Whether it is daycare or boarding, I always have a peace of mind knowing he is taken well care of by the staff. The staff knows me by my face whenever I drop off or pick him up! Very thankful for We Talk Dog!

Our Golden, Loki, loves We Talk Dog. He doesn’t willingly go anywhere without me, but once he gets to daycare at We Talk Dog, he forgets he doesn’t like to go places without my wife and I. Before we started bringing him here, we tried a few other doggie daycare places, and it was like pulling teeth to get him to stay, but not here, where he thinks everyone is his best friend. He comes home happy and tired— the one time he didn’t come home happy, he was sick, and even then they did everything in their power (along with the vet) to figure what was wrong with our sweet boy. I could go on all day about the quality of care, and how wonderful the people are here, but that would be a book. Bottom line: we trust them for daycare and boarding and don’t even think twice about other options.

We Talk Dog is the absolute best! They take such wonderful care of our dogs Marley and Daisy! Whether it’s daycare or boarding for a week, I know that our dogs will always be taken care of and in good hands. My Sunny girl loves it here! The staff is always friendly and they know Sunny by her name when she walks in the door which makes me feel real good! There are tons of dogs for her to play with outside. There are tables and obstacles for the pups to play on and around and there’s always hype music playing! I wish I could play there all day! 🤣 Sunny’s WORN OUT when she gets home and that tells me she’s had a great day!

We absolutely love We Talk Dog!! Our dog Mo has the best time socializing with the other dogs. He plays so hard and is always exhausted when he gets home. We know he is in heaven there. All of the staff is so helpful, kind and loving. They know these dogs so well and go above and beyond for them. We are lucky to send our pup here!!

We Talk Dog has become a “home-away-from-home” for our dog Louie. The facility, employees, daily routine/activities and care he receives are fantastic. Not a single concern. He is always euphoric when he gets dropped off and happily tired when we pick him up!Louie has boarded there, goes once a week to day care, and is groomed by them so we have a long track record with We Talk Dog and feel very fortunate to have found them!

May and Hero have been going to WTD for 6 plus years now for daycare, and they love it. They see their friends both human and furry, make new friends and come home tired. We use their boarding service, grooming and trainers as well. One stop service for all your needs. We highly recommend WTD!!!

Took the dogs for their grooming appointment here and they look like new puppies!! We have been to other groomers but the previous one was booked out for months and We Talk Dog had availability. These are long haired, double coated dogs and the groomer did an INCREDIBLE job. They were cleaned and trimmed from their nose to their toes and smelled amazing 🐶

I live next door. Normally the constant barking from the dogs in the park and ineffective yelling of the employees to keep them calm can usually be ignored. However last night and this morning my wife and I were kept awake by a constantly wailing dog. This dog is no doubt suffering from separation anxiety or something, and yet the employees do nothing to soothe it or keep it quiet. Incredibly annoying.

The absolute best place in Birmingham to board, groom, daycare, and get your dog trained. With very knowledgeable staff who absolutely LOVE dogs! Your dog will spend the majority of their time out of kennels in play groups. So when they get home they are relaxed and tired. I always know my Cora is well taken care of here.

We LOVE We Talk Dog!! We sent our 14 week old puppy, Ellie, for a week of "Puppy Jump Start" training at WTD. The socialization and obedience training gave her the skills and confidence to become a great companion. Ellyn (the head trainer) is a pleasure to work with, and Ellie absolutely adores her! Ellyn has been an invaluable resource for us first time dog owners and has gone above and beyond to help us train Ellie. Additionally, she has helped us teach Ellie how to get on a paddleboard! Whatever unique goals you have for your dog, WTD can help you accomplish them. While Ellie stayed at WTD, she also had a great experience with the groomers and the daycare. The staff at WTD is attentive, caring, and experienced. Highly recommend!

“We Talk Dog” is the kind of pet-family-friendly places you would want to take your fur baby too. They have taken care of our five year old German Shepherd, Bruce Lee Kellum for his whole life. Bruce Lee is a family member that sleeps in our bed every night and rides in our car just about everywhere we go except on long vacations. His well done and reasonable priced grooming and cleanness is essential to my health since I have acute asthma and a lung disease called sarcoidosis. All we have to say is “ We Talk Dog” and Bruce Lee gets so happy and excited like a child does when they are ready to go to Grandma’s house. We love Bruce Lee. My husband died unexpectedly and suddenly on New Year Eve 2019 and when I called, We Talked Dog they were so comforting to me and Bruce Lee we we came in. They gave us both a big hug and offered to help us through it. I highly recommend them. ♥️

I was very excited to bring my pups here , they were so excited coming in the door. I had prefilled all of my new paperwork was told to bring some kind of shot record as I had been moving . I called the vet and retrieved those and submitted with my paperwork . My dogs were taken to the back by grooming. I was called 30 min later to pick them up due to shot records. I then called the Humane Society for there other set of records where they were chipped , received shots and rabies (Which does not expire until the end of Sept. )they still wouldn’t compare the two records to follow the time line that my dogs are current. I had to leave work to come back. Distressed my dogs, myself and for what ? These things should be discussed before they accept your dogs and you leave across town. The amount of time they had to wait on my to get back for free they could have groomed and been paid. Just very disorganized but nice people for the most part. Needless to say , we went back across town to our regular groomer. So much for trying someone in my new living area! Might as well stick with what I know and who knows my dogs and there vaccine records.

The 3 full groomings Zoey has gotten at WTD have all been excellent. Think I'm going to go for a longer cut this time, although it will be kind of pricey if I don't take full advantage of the session. Can't remember the girl's name that cuts Zoey, but I'll update if I can find it. She does a good job, and Zoey seems to enjoy going back.

We sent our 4 month old puppy to a week of training and boarding with Ellyn. We enjoyed receiving videos of Goose learning and when we went to pick her up, it was so nice to see how comfortable she was with Ellyn and the entire team. You can tell they really care and that brings so much peace of mind. Highly recommend We Talk Dog!

We Talk Dog is the best of the best! My dog seriously starts doing backflips of excitement as soon as I tell her we’re headed to WTD for daycare to “play with her friends!” The staff is so friendly and wonderful, and I am so thankful for their consistent kindness and care. They make it so easy to leave my dog for a few hours, and it’s such a weight off my mind, knowing that my dog is in the very best care. The facility is large, clean, and has so many fun things for the dogs to do! My dog gets so many compliments on how social she is, and I ALWAYS tell them—it’s 100% because of everything she’s learned at We Talk Dog! I cannot recommend this amazing doggy daycare enough. A perfect place!

Honestly if I could give them 10 stars I would! This is easily one of the best run businesses I have worked with in Birmingham! We take our three dachshunds there 2-3 times per week and have done the board and train for two of our dogs. They know each of our dogs by name and treat them like their own! The handlers even help me get the little ones in the car at the end of the day because they can be a handful. Our trainer Ellen is amazing! All of our dogs LOVE her and she has come to our house to help with training after the board and train (our oldest is a handful). She listens to my concerns and helps me work through figuring out how to get my littles dudes to be better behaved. She even brings treats and tools to help in their at home training (because dog training is life long) We haven’t boarded the boys yet but we can’t imagine that being anything but excellent as well and when the time comes we wouldn’t take them anywhere else! The groomer has trimmed their nails and is super invested in them being comfortable with the process and is always there to tell me how they did when I pick them up at the end of the day.Every aspect of this business seems to be amazing and their employees really seem to love their jobs and the dogs! Seriously if you are looking for any type of dog training, daycare, boarding, grooming, ANYTHING (they even have a little shop with awesome tools, treats and dog related things) look no further because it can’t possible get better than We Talk Dog!

We Talk Dog is an awesome place! I was a training client about a year and a half ago and now I work here as a handler. Adam is an awesome trainer and seriously made my life and my dog's life so much better! This is truly the best job I have EVER had. I can assure you that no one that comes in to the business is treated like Matthew has stated and I am sure of that. As for the poop in the floor, dogs will be dogs but we are always very prompt in cleaning up their messes and we work very hard to keep our facility clean. A temperament test is required for ALL daycare or boarding clients and that is for the safety of our handlers and our pups! We are very busy and sometimes the next available appointment for a temperament test can be a month out simply because we have a lot of people who want their pup in daycare! We love our clients and especially their pups! In the morning when our daycare/grooming/boarding clients come in we all know their names and are excited to see them! Believe me these dogs get loved on all day! We would certainly NEVER discriminate against a dog for the way it looks. My dog has been going here for about 3 years now and everyone knows Rocko the Potato. My dog is the most hyper I have ever met, but he is no challenge for this crew. They love my baby and absolutely run him tired by the end of the day and I couldn't and wouldn't trust another staff like I trust the WTD staff with my child.

I have used We Talk Dog for years and have nothing but good things to say about the staff. Adam is amazing and his facility is the best around. I live over 20 miles away from his facility, but any time I need to board my dog, I take her to We Talk Dog. Even though there are five vets that offer boarding within 5 miles of my house, his facility is the only one I trust.The thing I love most about WTD, is the fact that he has someone on site 24/7. Your dog will never be left unattended or just “locked up” in kennel all day. They are always playing and socializing with a great amount of supervision during the day, and at night, they have spacious kennels and someone is always staying with them.As far as training goes, Adam helped us tremendously. We have a German Shepherd that was starting to become fear aggressive until Adam worked with her. He spent hours walking us through the steps to get her back on track and left us with a plan. It was hard work, but we did everything he said. Now, three years later, we have the most amazing dog we could have ever hoped for. Adam is still one of our dog's favorite people in the world, and she gets so excited every time we pull in his parking lot she can barely stand it!Overall, We Talk Dog is an amazing, clean, organized and well looked after facility, and the training is outstanding. I think some people want a trainer to come out and "fix" their dog for them, but that can't be done. The owner of the dog must be trained how to train the dog, and no one does this better than Adam and his staff.I would recommend We Talk Dog's boarding and training to anyone.

I am so humbled that I was able to visit "We talk dog". I have visited a lot of doggy daycares over the years. This one is by far the best. His employees treat you animals with the top notch care. They also are the best trained handlers in the area. No one else in Alabama is doing what he is doing. I would pay him double to watch after my service dog. Jericho has never been boarded anywhere. If you are considering boarding here please feel free to contact me for reference. I would not recommend anywhere else. He is a dog man and understands k9 100%Not only that but they offer dog training, grooming, and long term boarding. One stop shop for all your dogs needs. Adam is one of the most skilled trainers I have worked with. I have worked with quite a few. No other person in the area can or is able to do what he can do.

Grooming here is excellent and affordable. Love how they cut my standard poodle 🐩 with precision and style. Grooming is clean cut and daycare is well managed. Cute to see the dogs peep through the doggy eye holes . Would recommend for dog owners!

It’s fine. But it’s a dog daycare in Irondale trying to pretend it’s in Beverly Hills. I’ve taken my dogs here a few times, and they enjoyed themselves, but the hurdles to get in are insane and not worth it. I’ve never been able to count on this place as a reliable spot to drop my dogs off for the day as there’s always some new bar/barrier I have to clear. If you’re a working professional that needs a reliable place for your pet during the day I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
