I always enjoy stopping into Red Cat on the weekends (especially during Farmers Market Saturdays) - it's quite busy during that time, but service is always fast despite that, and the coffees and pastries are always well-prepared. Plenty of seating inside and outside combined to allow for a better chance to find one. Service is consistently polite. Def. a great morning spot for Joe lovers IMO.

I recently visited the Redcat Coffee branch and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and sitting area, which is much better than their other downtown location. They also boast a more extensive selection of coffee beans, adding to the appeal. However, I have to point out a slight issue with the flat white I ordered. It was steamed to the point where the milk tasted burnt due to the excessive heat. Despite this small hiccup, I still had a pleasant experience overall. Would recommend, but be cautious with the temperature of the milk-based drinks!

I had never been here before but the staff was very fun and upbeat, the atmosphere was chill and comfortable and the espresso was exactly what I needed. When I walked in there was nowhere to sit which told me this is “the” spot in the neighborhood. Spent my morning here doing computer work, I’ll definitely be back! They had great coffee, and I’m an unapologetic west coast coffee snob!Parking: Parking on street and a huge public parking lot around the corner.

First time here and definitely not my last. The staff provided great recommendations and great service. I had the Ham and Swiss Croissant & the Caramel Apple Spice Latte. They were both delicious! There were several seasonal drinks on the menu and a variety of breakfast items as well. I love the atmosphere as well with all the windows for the natural light to shine in and also the option of outdoor seating. This coffee shop was quite busy, but I understand why. I am adding The Red Cat to my list of favorite coffee shops in Birmingham. Great place to work or meet up with a friend!

My son took me to this coffee shop. We had mocha macchiato's and they were delicious. The upbeat music is a bit loud but pretty common. There were lots of students posted up with laptops open. The staff was friendly. They offer some food options but we only have coffee. What I loved to see is the diversity of the population in this coffee shop. The only thing I didn't really care for was all the smoke (fromthe kitchen, I assume) in the shop.

Always a pleasure when I visit this place. The customer service is top notch and everyone is always pleasant and even with the crowds, they tend to keep it pretty clean. There is usually a wait, but it’s never a problem because of the atmosphere and I understand that they’re busy. My fav’s are the Gouda grits, the grit bowl and the avocado toast…YUM! I’m not a true coffee drinker, but their lattes are pretty good as well as their smoothies. Count me in to visit at least once per week. Keep up the outstanding work.

I rented The Red Cat at Pepper Place for our rehearsal dinner. It was absolutely perfect. Mike was super easy to work with. All communication was by email. The space was exactly what we wanted. The bride wanted casual, intimate and fun. At the end of the evening she said it was perfect and she wouldn't change a thing. Tre Luna (HIGHLY recommend) was the caterer. Only one glitch...but it all worked out...the owner mistakingly put down the wrong date. But when I say that EVERYONE pivoted on a dime that is not an understatement. It all worked out. Don't hesitate to rent for your event (just make sure to triple check the date :) ).

This was so good!! My son loved every bite as well! Everything was so fresh. I have had the spanakopita and the veggie wrap for takeout at my job. I’ve had the frappes and they’re delicious. Today was my first visit in person. I love the chill vibes. I had the Havana—coffee always great here! My son had the super fresh peach tea! Expectations were exceeded. We will return.

We were in town for a concert and found Red Cat Coffee online, they had great reviews, so we went! It's located in a good spot, the shop was clean (bathrooms are in the same building but down the hall) and it was a very cute place. When we walked in, we were greeted right away, the people were super nice and helpful. I REALLY wanted a coffee cup (they are SO cute)!!! $20... no thanks.I ordered a caramel macchiato. It was okay, at best. It didn't seem to have a good coffee flavor and very little caramel in it. It just didn't do the job for me.Overall, it's a mediocre place to get a caramel macchiato, the other coffee, I have no idea. I would not go back, nor would I recommend to my friends, BUT, I DO suggest you go visit, at least once, and draw your own conclusions :) It may have just been an off day 🤷

My husband and I tried this place on a whim. I'm glad we did. The breakfast bowl is amazing and filling. I would not recommend ordering this for a quick stop. That level of tasty takes a little time. It's a comfy cozy atmosphere if you just want to meet a friend for lunch or a different place to read a book.

If your missing the ambiance of a coffee house that produces a genuine cup of Joe, this is the spot. The froth alone speaks to the quality of their product. We also ordered Jasmine tea, the aroma and flavor of the tea was great. This location offers a brief breakfast and lunch menu. The grits are creamy and the texture contains the organic grit. The surprise was the " schmear" or cream cheese for the bagel. We tried the chive, which also included bacon. Hands down it was a delicious accompanimentGreat vibe in this coffee house, its right across from the railroad park.

First time trying Red Cat. Loved the avocado toast AND the homemade pop tarts. Great coffee. The natural lighting from the windows was also a great vibe. Good spot to work, meet a friend, or grab something to go.

Nice little hipster place. They have a lot of gluten free and vegan options. I would suggest getting the Persian Latte. Very delicious. You would pay about 10$ for a coffee and muffin.

Cute little coffee shop adjacent to the Railroad Park. Baristas were friendly and I appreciate that they offer non-dairy and gluten-free options. Indoor and outdoor seating available or get it to go and stroll the park while you sip!****Updated to add that their gluten-free muffins are awesome! So good!

A great location to meet up or sit and have a well-brewed coffee. Their signature lattes, warm or frozen, are delicious, and the staff are always kind. I wish this location had longer hours, but I've enjoyed every one I've spent here.

The lattes here are always on point. I also love that they serve them in real mugs (if you get it dine in). I always love it when I get to go here!

The Red Cat Coffeehouse is my go to coffee stop when I'm in Birmingham. I travel here a lot for work and I just love the cozy atmosphere! The Havana Brown latte is my all time favorite! Great baked goods as well!

Okay so the crepes are awesome but what you need to know is that on Saturdays in spring to early fall there is a local market and it's incredibly busy and since Saturday is the only time to get crepes at this location you have to come early as they are served 7-1pm but are out by 12. The railroad park location serves crepes Sunday only with the same time with less traffic though.
