Rainbow paints was so easy to work with! I bought large curtains, regular cellular shades and motorized blinds and I love them! Jen helped me choose colors and styles to match my current paint colors. And because I didn’t want to install them myself, she even found an installer who came to my house, measured, and then installed them! What a simple process!! I will definitely be using them again for my next set of blinds I purchase!

Rainbow just installed all the plantation shutters on our new home. They are beautiful and functional and we love them! The best wallpaper selection in Birmingham! Justin was so very helpful in checking out the wallpaper books and ordering my selected pattern. Order was received in 3 days. He offered great advice/tips on hanging and doing the job correctly. The project turned out great and I couldn't be happier. I will only use Rainbow for my future wallpaper needs. HIGHLY recommend!

Very happy with Rainbow Paint. I purchased a rug and throw pillows through them. The owner is very knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect rug and pillows for my redecorating efforts! I absolutely love the rug! It is easy to clean with a toddler and pets, it’s gorgeous and is thin and lays flat my roomba has no issues getting on it to clean.

DO NOT GO INTO THIS STORE!!!! This is the first google review I have ever written and If I could give this company negative stars I would. I chose to do business with Rainbow simply because they were the only store in Birmingham that sells Farrow and Ball paint. Jim the store owner (or manager, not sure) is a straight-up liar. He allowed me to purchase the Farrow & Ball paint knowing that I needed it within by a certain time frame and knowing that they didn't have it in stock. He informed me of this *AFTER* I had checked out. Upon seeing my reaction, James then guaranteed me that the paint would be in by 7:30 a.m. the next business day and that I would have it to my painter without any lost time. That was not the case. The paint never arrived at 7:30, at 8:30 I went to the store and demanded it be tracked, to then discover that the paint was not even coming that day. James did not care about my painter's hour and a half of wasted time, he did not care that I had wasted a pretty penny on two gallons of "designer" paint, he was unbothered and refused to admit that he had lied to me. He refused to issue me a refund as well. I had to dispute the charges with American Express... like every other customer this terrible business has swindled then refused to refund. What an embarrassment of a store. I will do everything in my power to make sure Farrow & Ball knows they need to find a new retailer for their paint. In the meantime, simply go across the street to Benjamin Moore - the guys there are so wonderful and will be glad to help you!!

The staff is always helpful and very knowledgeable. The paint is high quality yet affordable, and they have a large variety of other products available as well. I repainted every room in my house recently, and when I needed advice on product selection, they were more than happy to help me find the right paint. I've not shopped for paint anywhere else since I discovered Rainbow Paint.

I have used Rainbow Paint for paint projects both at my house and my office. They were very helpful and knowledgable. I wasn't sure what I needed, and they helped me sort it out. They also answered my questions about concrete stain, so I'll be going back when it is time to do that. Its such a pleasure to start a project here instead of at one of the big box stores!

My review/personal experience with Rainbow Paint and Decorating.Horrible experience with this company. I ordered custom blinds for our home in December. The order total was $4300. The blinds came in within 5 weeks as promised and were installed. A couple of weeks later I noticed the bath blind was warped in several places. I contacted our Rainbow Decorating rep and was told to email her pictures of the blinds. I sent them to her and received a reply that this should not have happened. Two weeks later I left her a message for an update inquiring if the blind would be replaced or repaired. I received no response. A second call a week after that I left a message, no response. I called the office and talked with someone who told me the blind was on order. In the meantime, the remaining blinds, 9 total, were also warped. I called Rainbow Paint and Decorating again. They came out four weeks later to install the bath replacement blind and inspected the others. The installer took pictures and said he would have someone call me. I followed up 5 times to see if and when the 9 damaged blinds would be replaced. Finally I asked for the owner, he was very defensive about their communication practices, which clearly have room for improvement. He advised the blinds were in and would be installed. The replacement blinds were installed and these too are warped. Let me say that while I appreciate that they are simply the middle person and not the manufacturer of the blinds, how they handle a customer's dissasfaction is important. After two experiences of warped blinds I asked for a refund and was told that refunds will not be given on custom orders. This despite the fact that the product was faulty, not once but twice. If you are looking for a company to stand behind a product they sell, this is not the company to use.

I enjoy an organic rural lifestyle that involves plants, trees, and unfortunately for my deck, shady, moist and challenging stain conditions. I had gotten fed up with the Big Box stains, as they cracked and caused me more work that I thought necessary over the last 25 years, and since I had met James at his Easter Seals Big Green Egg BBQ fundraiser event, I walked into Rainbow and asked for help. Jamie gave me an Alkyd stain and helped me tune the color frequency down from the standard colors I had been getting stuck with. Now, the color of the deck, brick, house, trees and plants both contrast and complement each other to give me the vibe that inspires when I walk out on my deck. I really enjoy the idea of the deep penetration of this modern stain, it soaked in well, and I know it is the kind of beautiful long term protection I wanted. Thank You Rainbow!
