I received a new Weber grill. I had been told with my old one if I needed any help, to let them know and they would come out. I live in Clay, so for 3 weeks I’ve been waiting for them to come and assemble it. After multiple calls to them, I get a call telling me he would be out if I give him my charge card number for $125.00. Very poor business. Should’ve never told me they’d be glad to help if they were going to rip me off. Can’t trust them. They say one thing and change what they promised. But you’ve got to know the whole story. I guess live and learn. And there you go. We all see how they are now with their response…. Very unprofessional.

Great Experience. I needed to buy an 8 ft ladder but didn't have a truck to transport it. Lowe's wanted me to pay a $79 delivery fee to transport the ladder 2.7 miles down the road. I found Little Hardware and they delivered the ladder 7.5 miles for no delivery fee. The ladder was the same price as Lowe's too. Thank you Little Hardware for the wonderful customer service.

Always very knowledgeable and friendly! Recently Lynn helped me with sizing a piece to my outdoor furniture. She let me take home two sizes to try and bring back the one that did not fit. Every employee I've ever dealt with at Little has gone above and beyond to be helpful and courteous! I can't say enough good things about their business!

OMG this place is amazing. I know nothing about Home Improvement. I called first before I came for the items I was told to get by someone else and they verified that they had what I needed. Then when I got there they walked me to what I needed and took it to the register for me and offered to carry the items to my car. I love shopping local and I will definitely be back. They also sell a dozen eggs that are locally grown and organic for $6.99 a dozen.

Always friendly. Always helpful. They help you when you are looking for a $2 part or a $500 purchase. Bonus--they have someone on site who rewires old lamps. And they do it for a very reasonable price. They have things you can't find in a big box store. Most notably, a very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This was DEFINITELY NOT my best shopping experience. There were at least 8 employees milling about upon my arrival yet it took awhile before someone asked if I needed assistance. Considering the store was slammed with 3 other customers, I understand everyone was very busy (Not!). The employee who provided assistance did not hide the fact that he would rather do ANYTHING else. With attitude in place, he provided very few answers. Maybe he was’t familiar with the particular unit but if that is the case…get someone who is. I typically do not leave reviews but this location definitely needs customer service training. Attitude is everything! Never make a customer feel unwanted!

Highly upset with little hardware. I brought my saw in for repair for trigger malfunction. I also have warranty so I wasn’t expecting to pay anything. Came back to pick up with a charge of $70. They told me the trigger wasn’t covered in warranty when it wasn’t any physical damage done to it. They also took it upon themselves to sharpen my blades without 1st asking me & charged me for it. That was the 1st issue. 2nd issue came when I took the saw back because it wouldn’t start correctly. Long story short they gave me my saw back in the condition you see in this picture & charged me $20 for it saying it also didn’t fall under warranty. I spoke with the manager he told me there was nothing he could do & he would have to charge me to put it back together.

Little hardware has great service they make you feel comfortable more so than home depot or Lowes local in Moutain Brook and the guy in painting depot is 1 of the best around try them 1 time if never been or just keep on going b as back again and again because you will see the difference thanks to their employees is an awesome experience every time you walk in the door

Love Little Hardware, their products & services, and the people that work there. Everyone that works there is knowledgeable and if they don't know the answer they can find someone quickly to answer it. Some might think the smaller size is a negative, but it makes finding what you need much easier and I rarely leave wishing they had something I needed. Support local over the big box stores!

This era of big box hardware stores has eliminated most of the small stores. Little Hardware has a helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. I love this store. It's small, but well organized so they have most anything I need for a quick run to the hardware store, but not so much that you get overwhelmed. This is the kind of hardware store I used to go to on Saturdays with my Dad when I was a child, so I'm probably nostalgically biased. Just go, you will be glad.

Friendly knowledgeable staff, well stocked, great location. Owner also has an FFL license so if you want to buy a gun online, it can be delivered here.Edit: Little Hardware comes through again! I needed a water pressure reducing valve so I assumed I'd have to go to one of the giants, so I looked at Lowe's and Home Depot's websites and they had them for $129. Didn't wanna drive there so I called Little, expecting them to be maybe $10 - $20 more. Nope. The very same valve that is $129 at the giants can be found at Little for $109. I was finished with my plumbing project around the same time I would've been checking out at Lowe's or Home Depot.Shop local everybody! It's more convenient and very frequently less expensive.

Shopped at big box stores for years and never went into this place because I assumed the prices would be unreasonable, but after going once I was determined to make Little Hardware the only place to get supplies. Not only are their prices good but their customer service is outstanding, they have all the essentials, are very knowledgeable, and are always kind. Without doubt the best hardware store around town.

I've been shopping at Little Hardware since the Kate Jackson days of 30+ years. The customer service has always been outstanding but today, I felt like I was shopping at 5 Points Hardware in Southside. Nobody offered to help me and the woman who rang me up wasn't friendly or welcoming. A most disappointing visit.

Sad news about Little Hardware in Mountain Brook- staff proudly unmasked, while most customers are wearing them. When we asked the cashier why no masks, she quickly stated," No mandates. Might come to that in a couple of weeks, but not wearing masks until they are mandated". I guess the possibility the everyone wearing masks for the next couple of weeks might have a positive effect escapes her. bye-bye Little Hardware- it's been fun!

This is the most awesome hardware store. Why would you go to a big box store when you could shop at Little's where you can find items ranging from fertilizers for your garden, cleaning products, light bulbs, picture hanging items, annuals and vegetable plants and so much more. They also carry paint, re-glue a chair, sharpen garden clippers and knives and lamp repairs sometimes returned in 24 hours. They are knowledgeable and helpful and open till 5:30 weekdays and 5 on Saturdays. They will help you fix your home and give you advise on so many items. Prices very competitive and always service with a smile. It is my go to place for many household items.

This is what a hometown "hardware" store is supposed to be. We were helped almost immediately upon entering the store. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We found items here we could not even find at Home Depot. Will return and avoid big box stores when possible. Shop local.

Great hardware store with a helpful staff and tons of interesting things (in addition to what you would normally find at a hardware store). The staff are friendly and helpful, and most wear masks. Hand sanitizer and tape on the floor to help you stay 6feet apart!
