This is my favorite place to stock up. This is the best game and gear store for all tabletop game enjoyers. From the glue to the paint and plastic, if you have the money and time, you can find some enjoyable hobbies here. I love the selection of paintings and all the new figures they get in. The staff are great to talk to, and they are deeply knowledgeable about all the games they sell. Although they are far and may sell out often there is always something there for everyone. They also can help by directly ordering anything you need and will work with you. I mostly like to play Warhammer here, but it is great to go and learn other army and games at the shop too.

Clean toilets, well lit, friendly staff, ample play space for all types of gaming, and a good amount of product. Tons of Warhammer 40k in stock, Star wars Legion, Magic the Gathering cards, full racks of army painter paints and full racks of games workshop paints as well. Super nice game store.

I spoke to the owner while I was looking for a difficult to find game. And he was just incredibly kind and welcoming to both me and my partner. He told us when we should check back with him and what he thought the second wave of release was going to look like. We just had a genuinely nice experience going in there. I wish it was closer to my house because I would be there every week.

I've shopped for paint supplies and played D&D in the private room here. They have a great selection of paints and games, and the staff is really friendly. I've had enjoyable talks with one of the staff members multiple times (Gavin... I'm awful with remembering names.) The prices are awesome. I haven't special ordered anything but have been told it's doable. The private game room is really enjoyable, especially if you get the one with the window and can people-watch a little while you wait for your turn to roll. The restroom is clean and they sell cold Mountain Dew. That's not to be taken for granted in a game shop, my friends! The shop dog is a little shy but sweet and has a really clever name!

Went for Adventure League dnd play and had an amazing time. The players and DM were super friendly. They also have a good figurine section in the store with good prices. They also have a lot of other space in the store for other games. Overall a great place to get into card games and ttrpgs.

Because the closing time is flexible you can go there to play a game with friends that might take a few hours after work. They also have a decent selection of miniature painting supplies.

I just left Gear Gaming in Hoover and the owner was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He was very informative of any of my questions as a beginner to Warhammer 40k (especially painting) and suggested a variety of tips & tricks for me. Gear gaming will be having all of my future Warhammer/Tabletop hobby business. I prefer to support local shops anyways and highly encourage others to do the same. I highly recommend this shop and the atmosphere there was really nice.

I routinely play a biweekly TTRPG here. The price for 4 hours of fun is incredibly reasonable. Staff is always super nice. There is no where else in Birmingham I will go for my TTRPG needs.

Quite possibly the best retail experience I've ever had. They have great stock of paints and supplies and are always willing to order whatever you ask. I had never been inside a game store of this type before this year and upon my first visit, I immediately felt welcomed and have learned a crazy amount from the staff there. All of the staff are willing to talk to you about most anything and give you tips on painting and game rules/tactics. It's my happy place!

Customer service was excellent. They took time to hunt down cards I was looking for. The store is well laid out, with a lot of space dedicated to organized play. Seem to have a good player base and are hosting tournaments in a variety of games. Will definitely be back.

If you're wanting to get into stuff like DND this is the place! Paul occasionally hosts games for all levels including beginners. He is patient, kind, and you don't even need to make a character ahead of time! We had a blast with a 3 hour game that was well organized and prioritizes everyone having fun! 5/5 will definitely do again! Thanks for an awesome time!

I absolutely love this place! The owners are really cool very helpful. They're literally able to help you with whatever game you want to play they really are the definition of diversity. Don't be afraid to ask these guys questions.

Any shop can sell cards and tabletop stuff but this place brings the customer service to another level. They are the friendliest people and treat everyone that steps through the door like friends and family. It doesn't have the vibe of just a hangout place for the regulars but moreso a haven for veterans and those new to the hobby alike.

The whole place smelled like BO and they were charging 3-5x what their bulk cards were actually worth. Their dice were also priced higher than anywhere else I've been to. I left without buying anything.

Extremely friendly staff who are more than willing to be helpful and take a moment to chat with you about the various games and hobbies. They have several tables for gaming and is quite spacious while also having a very nice selection of merchandise for hobbies such as D&D, Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar, and a great selection of board games, including some hard to find options. Definitely a fantastic gaming and hobby store, worth a look at if you are in the area or looking for a place to hobby at.

They have a good stock of minis and paints, willing to order any game for you (as long as they are able) and as long as its in stock can most likely have it in a week or less(of course nothing is promised and shouldnt be). Nice staff very helpful when we had questions about things and when we asked about gameing made sure we knew where to go to help us find a gameing group and we can resurve tables and if we had more questions to feel free to contact them. All in all i expected this store to be like all the rest but, it really had a comfortable feel and for every introvert out there that's a nerd i would recommend it. (Yes masks are required at the time of the review)

Great place, run by people who know what they are doing. Tables and rooms for all manner of games. Good selection of games and supplies. Modest section of snacks. One star off for having no room for books.Very convenient location on Highway 31, but beware of rush hour traffic.

Glad to have an RPG gaming store locally. I can't believe I didn't hear they were open sooner. They have a good selection and are very friendly to people new to tabletop gaming.
