Took a 34hr reset and took showers but dirty towels where left hanging on back of doors ..dirty inside and out I didn't even bother buying food there that's how alarming it is here...another thing most of us paid for our parking while others just parked and weren't charged..the manager came by with a helper and knocked on doors not all just a few of us but I don't blame them for not paying it's disappointing in a way ..they charge well , so why is this place so disgusting??? everyone has time to stand and chat, but no one has time to make this place look decent..disappointing...trash isn't picked up at all..just look at how many trucks there are and still keep coming ...

The facility was very clean which for me is important.Pump worked well and gave me a paper receipt. ON 6/14/2023 regular was $3.199 - good price compared to many others.

This has been top-down one of our best experiences as an owner of a Logistics company. The customer service has been phenomenal. I'm in TX, and I had my truck left in Alabama, and they watched over our semi truck while we rebounded from an unfortunate situation. 4 months later, and still #1 dump in AL. 😆 Wow, pizza trays empty for a while around noon, some chicken strips, some sandwiches but wouldn't trust them. 🚿 disgusting, see pics. 🙄 Went in for lunch and left without anything. There are lots of dumped trailers all around. Just poorly managed in general. Even pumps don't get wiped down just filthy period. REFUEL AND LEAVE BEST ADVICE👍 No training for staff on how to clean period.

hello, I have been truck driver for a about a year now and I can honestly say this is the worst fly J I have ever been to. My biggest complaint is the employees. I got here the night before and both of cashiers were rude and unresponsive. This morning I go in to get a coffee and we'll it's not any better. They have 3 cashiers at there stations and two are talking to each other while there one working... if you can avoid this place I recommend you do. Also the coffee station are not very clean and the bathroom was disgusting.

Really dirty, truck parking is a joke, the help has bad attitude, zero customer service, unbelievable how places like this stay in business. I'd give zero stars if I could. And it's now on my list to avoid at all costs unless I'm absolutely desperate to be ignored or get in an argument with employees for expecting paper towels in the bathroom. In his defense, he did get woke up from his sleeping in the driver lounge. His cohort was actually all cuddled up under a blankie watching TV. This place is so bad I assume the only reason they have customers is because, like me today, I HAD to stop for my 10 hour break and scale my load. Driving off a bridge would be a less stressful experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Forever.

Nice folks here at flying j. Store itself needs updating like a bunch of other pilot/flying j but overall had a good experience. Mr. Thomas was very helpful with any questions I had. Ladies inside also very nice.

this location needs an overhaul and should be ashamed to even have the flying j pilot logo on it but you know when the owner of the company is in prison that about says it allcomplete and utter disappointment flying j pilot corporate you better pay attention to your stores because you literally just lost at least 10 drivers devotion.$35 to take a shower and to pay for Prime parking for no restaurant no hot food stale expired eggs and salads dirty as can be showers No hot water for the shower that I paid for no caffeine or nicotine because your restaurant staff and people were selling to underage kids and your people working in Denny's were stealing nothing has changed or improved at this location in 4 yearsplease don't bother responding with a generic AI response with some pathetic pre-scripted apology .You're robbing truckers blind and the appreciation we get is nothing at all

HIRE PEOPLE WHO TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR JOB AS THEY HANDLE THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES WITH PRIDE! Absolutely a disgrace. Floors look like they haven't been mopped in weeks! Showers open and the cashiers made waiting customers wait 4 hours until they finally got a guy to come in to handle cleaning. Bathrooms make it impossible to use as a woman just filthy and unbearable. Just how does one come to work here knowing they don't take care of what they are getting paid to do and leave the place ran down. I did not and can't believe the people in Alabama are this poverty breed of absolutely no care in the world atleast to make their state look like something for truck drivers and traveling customers as in stopping by the only truck stop they have left in Birmingham AL. But keep up not keeping up soon Birmingham won't have any truck stop and brokers will stop sending drivers to deliver your everyday goods and Necessities needed everyday to survive I'd rather be in Huntsville where everything looks new and kept

Wow... horrible.. arrived 345 pm for my 10 hr break. No parking the lot was over half full of dropped trls dumpsters in prime and regular truck parking. One suv parked between handicap truck parking and building leaving no room to drive thru. The app says 25 spots. No need to reserve because all filled. BT lot has full trk and tlr parked taking up parts of driveway. Never more. If I had time on my clock I would park elsewhere. Will not even buy anything inside...

OMG!!!!!! I have never been to a truck stop like this very bad in store #602 in Birmingham, AL let start saying this plenty of parking for trucks plenty shower available. TV room for drivers but they dont have nothing for drive or anyone that come get or wants something to eat . To its seem like the employee don't care their attitude it wow they not friendly at all everyone's seem to have a chip on their shoulders no food on the hot bar no food cold if you wanted a sandwich nothing I guess be thankful you can take shower.....

Racist black woman cashier thinks she is the center of the world. Allowed black male to make a purchase with a card coming up in their system as flagged lost. Didn't even ask for ID to confirm it was his. I proceed to make my purchase using their reward system and it wasn't working so I was a little frustrated and say stupid rewards system. She immediately took this as a personal attack upon herself which she further escalated when I said I didn't want to pay with points that the system wasn't taking the coupon and as I go to get my wallet and just pay for it she pulls cash out of hers saying she will just pay for my purchase since I cannot afford it. Seriously? I just walked out. Terrible customer service

Parking for commercial drivers is a joke. There would be so much more active driver parking if the 30 dropped trailers would be moved. Also had passenger cars (not cargo vans, ect) parked in spots for the bob tail and smaller trucks. Went in to pay for parking, and the cashier scanned rewards input our information and walked away. We had to ask to pay so that we could get our receipt. After looking around after the 10 hrs, over half the trucks didn't have a receipt in the windows. Cashiers were completely unprofessional and rude. Ladies' room had paper towel debris all over the floor and both toliet seats were extremely loose and not clean. Showers had intermittent water pressure and didn't hold temperature well. The shower room was small but appeared clean. Lounge and laundry are available, although we didn't use either. The hand roped pizza that is usually great at other locations was absolutely horrible. The dough was chewing and flat, crust had no flavor and overall the flavor was gross. I would not plan a future stop at this location!

The dedicated separate RV fuel islands are a godsend. Lots of fuel pumps for both cars and big trucks as well. Great competitive prices here. Store was well stocked. Men's room clean. Friendly staff.Picked up some hot food from the hot bar.All in all a pretty decent truck stop.

We stopped here about 4pm March 30th 2024, to fill our motorhome with gas and propane. The clerk told us, “We haven’t had propane since Covid”. We tried to fill up our gas tank and the pump shut off at $100. The pump wouldn’t turn back on after I ran my card again. We had to go in and prepay $30 at a time. After the first $30, we just quit wasting time.The place is filthy, trash cans over flowing, call boxes at pump don’t work or aren’t answered. Very poorly managed.Recommend stopping anywhere else.

Absolutely horrible customer service. The cashier was rude. I put cash on the counter and asked for gas at a pump she said ok and held her hand out then told me that money is not in my hand. Tuesday April 2nd around 9:20 am... I hope management gets better help

I’m glad I reserved my parking spot a few hours before I got here. Went inside to get my window ticket in receipt, and the big guy in charge was helpful, and when I explained, and I reserve my spot, so I could be safe he said yes,you should, “especially around here.” in other words, he was saying it wasn’t really safe here. I said, thanks a lot!, For the heads up!There were only three reserved spots left when I got here. I looked around and I only saw a few reservation receipts in the windshields!!When I went to find food, he said The Denny’s is gone he said about six months ago. So I got some meatloaf, mashed potatoes, with gravy. And also mac & cheese because I don’t like the green beans. I’ve had the meatloaf before, and I really like the mashed and gravy because they taste homemade. The restroom was t that clean, and the one that I used, the toilet seat was, indeed, loose, like in the other reviews I just read. I’ve been here before and never had any problems. I’m driving solo now, so I have to be very vigilant of my surroundings. I’m not uncomfortable at this location. You can never be too safe.

This is the most awful flying j I have ever been in! The cashier didn’t say a word when we got to the counter to check out. Then when my boyfriend asked for something and she didn’t say anything so I asked for the same thing and she had the nerve to yell at us because she wouldn’t acknowledge she even heard us! I hope a managers sees this because I’ve never been treated so awful at a flying j and we stop at them frequently while we are on the road! So do not ever stop in this store unless u want to be treated awful! I won’t say what I truly thought her problem was !!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤮 she doesn’t deserve her job that is a disgrace to every fly j I’ve been to! Loves from here on out most definitely! I hate to give it one star!!Updated: i stopped back in this flying j a few days ago and it was a lot better experience! Was greeted when I came in and the cashier was very friendly! Looked like they may be doing better!

The dirtiest place ever. I paid 17$ for a shower and not only the shower manager was rude but the showers were so dirty. All walls with old soap and mold. Dirty toilets. Bad smell. And some of the staff smoked up. Never pay for a shower at this place.

Pulled in last Friday to gas up and break. The cashier was rude and treated me like I was the guy that stood her up for the senior prom. The food looked like it had been there all day so I passed on that. The lots have zero lighting so I parked in a space was available (there were over 30). The manager walked shining a flashlight in my truck telling me it's reserved and I need to pay to stay there!?? I showed him a receipt for $150 gas purchase and asked how much did the homeless couple with their dog camped out 5 feet from the entrance paid? I left and haven't been to Flying J since.

This was my first time visiting Alabama and came into the store and the ladies who were on the shift 12/30/ 2023 at 12:21 Cust service was horrible...thought I was going to get beat up b/c I ask where the creamer was. When I went to check out the attitudes that were given to me and my husband was uncalled for. If the owner is reading this please go over customer service...again this was my first time ever in Alabama and this store and I WILL NOT COME BACK B/C OF THR SERVICE

This is a great travel center to stop at if coming through the Birmingham metro. Parking is extremely tricky, but there is ample parking for trucks.

This place has a really comfortable parking lot it's nice spacious opened easy to park in each of the slots diesel pumps or a nice to go in and out now inside bathrooms are nice and clean but the service is a little slow they tend to get preoccupied talking with each other which is a negative everywhere inside they have a Denny's they got their laundromat well it's not a bad place to do a long stay

Saturday morning someone bust my window out and stole my wallet. Sad part about it I paid for reserved parking and they have security guards working the lot and nobody seen or did anything to help me . All truckers should find somewhere else to park or you might end up in my situation.
