Had to replace lost duplicate keys for auto and house. Greeted at the door by a warm friendly face who immediately called for service. Service showed up immediately, made my keys in seconds Keys all worked perfectly. $. Been here before. Great store and staff.

So I went in to exchange an item and said I needed one size larger. I said I'd get it myself but the guy said he would. Fine. He came back with the same thing but a different color.I was adamant that it was wrong, I knew what it was supposed to look like and that wasn't it. He then told me I was wrong and that was what I needed. ...what? I know what I need, not this guy. I said, again, no but he swapped them out. I just left and went to Walmart. They had the item I needed, which was different than the 'expert' gave me.I'd return the item here but I'm not going back. The other lady was very nice or it'd be one star- think she was new.

On Saturday 9-30-23, I went in with a list of small items needed for my house. I got the same great service that they give me when I am purchasing something of greater cost. This has been my favorite store for years.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went in needing a new lawn mower, but wasn't sure what would be best for me. I was greeted upon entering and the salesperson wasn't sure of all of the specifics of my questions, so had another associate to help. After listening to my needs, a new mower was selected and I am happy with the purchase.

Great store! Very helpful and the employees are good at understanding the need and they offer good advice. They even offer a free bag of popcorn on the left after walking in main door! I go here first every time. Only down side is that they don’t carry lumber.

I LOVE this store! I used to live near this store and frequently shopped here for my household needs. The staff was always so friendly and helpful. I moved away a few years ago and haven't been able to find a small town hardware store that compared. I was in the area, so I stopped by on yesterday to pick up some items and felt right back at home. The atmosphere at Ace (Chalkville Mtn) has been consistently welcoming, the staff is always helpful and they seem to make great recommendations for certain products that just meet my needs. I LOVE THIS STORE!

They were not friendly or very helpful. I felt like a burden. I am certain the gentleman before me felt the same. They could have called the other store for him but did not even offer. They just told him to check at other Ace's. Which is what O will do in the future as well. The location on Main Street was very helpful.

It's convenient if you can find what you need. It's like your everyday hardware store, before the bigbox stores arrived. A little bit of everything, with not many options. The hours are short too, so if you work until 5, you may not make the 6pm close.

Such great staff. Didnt even roll their eyes when i got there at 5:40 pm to get keys duplicated. 🤣 They have some antique tool displays i'd like to look at, and what looks a great little greenhouse. It reminds me of the wonderful older hardware stores (but obviously with brand new everythings). Parking is good and there are no steps, etc. I'll be going back there this weekend.

The service was excellent. The store is much smaller than big retail chains so the stock selection is more limited. That being said, if Ace has what you need their employees will be able to find it for you and answer any questions you have. They are also very good about ordering items they don't have in stock. Sometimes I have to go to a big chain to get what I need but I go to Ace if it's something they have.

Did not have a good experience here. Person at cash register was totally useless. Asked a question when I first walked in but all she could do was tell me to see someone else for answer. I asked in what direction I should go in to find someone else and she just looked at me and point to one side of the store. Never received any help. Two people were there to help but one was helping someone else and the other was mixing paint for another customer. He did finally ask if he could point me in the right direction which was the only helpful thing that happened. After searching through the area he told me about I figured out they didn't have what I needed. On my way out I was going to look at some plants and pots in the garden center but both doors into that area were locked and when I asked same person at front she said I needed to ask one of the guys in the back to open it for me. What? The sign says open 8 to 8? She says well it's locked now and I don't have a key. It was 7 PM when I was there. What a dismal experience first and hopefully last time I visit this place.

Ace always has people more than willing to help you. They didn't have what I needed but several people were helping me they even looked it up in their little book to see if they could order it for me but it wasn't in the book. They did everything they could and even went beyond to help me.

I have used this store for years And always received good service. That changed yesterday however, I purchased an item online to be shipped to the store. I got an email confirmation that it was ready for pick up yesterday and the email list of the store hours which stated the store closed at 6:00 p.m.. I arrived at the store at 3:10 p.m. to find out that they had changed their hours and now close during the week at 3:00 p.m.. (due to COVID-19 and totally understandable) I went back today to pick up the item and made the associate aware that the time I received in the email was not accurate and it would probably behoove them to update the store hours online. I explained to him that I had come yesterday right after store closing to find out the new hours. He stated he had nothing to do with it it was up to the store owner. I explained that it was an inconvenience to show up during the posted hours only to find out the store was already closed. This is not the normal level of customer service I've come to expect from this location, however it only takes one bad experience. The guy behind the paint counter needs a lesson in good customer service skills. He was rude and showed no interest in fixing the issue for future customers.
