I would like to commend the African American cashier this morning at Big Lots in Trussville. She greeted every customer that came in and was so friendly both in the store and checking me out. I wish I had gotten her name, but it was about 9:30 am on 3/30/24

Love shopping at big lots. Every week for the past month they give away something. Employee's are very friendly. Clean store. I've got Christmas lights, candy, and more as free gifts. My dog loves there pig ears. Great price too 5 for $5. In a pet store there around $22.. Great prices at Big lots! Very good quality of products in there store. Thank you Big Lots!

We have been looking for a certain wardrobe unit for over 2 years. A different Big Lots sold us 2 units 2 years ago and we got home only to realize what was in the box was not what we ordered. We were devastated and decided not to pursue finding it again. Fortunately, we visited a store recently and it found us again. This time we asked them to search for the item at other stores. We purchased 2 wardrobes from Trussville and the experience was very pleasant. We called ahead to reserve them and when we arrived Stan and Ian were very helpful. They were attentive, remembered us from the call, and helped us load everything. Overall, I like Big lots, they offer products that are a good value. I have been surprised how they've expanded their product line.This particular store is in dire need of updating. It needs to be laid out more like the one on highway 31 in Birmingham.Our most recent experience, was mixed. At first, we couldn't get someone to help us with an item we purchased online, but, eventually the person who did help us was very kind.

If I had the option of giving zero stars I would do that.I came in to my local Big Lots to purchase a sectional set Wednesday Sept 1 2021.I was told there was one in stock.I didn’t have enough time after filling out the application for leasing and for the furniture to be brought out I had to get my kids from their bus stop at 3:30. So I left and couldn’t finish my purchase (Progressive leasing option) so I sent my husband back to the Trussville location after he got off of work 4:30-5pm .When he got there the person normally in charge of the furniture dept had already gotten off of work.The person helping my husband said that they couldn’t “find” the furniture set I wanted in the back.The Big Lots employee even called the person that I had spoken earlier that works the furniture dept and asked where they could find it in the back.But for whatever reason they STILL couldn’t find it,so they took our name and number and put a note on the register at the furniture dept to NOT SELL the Broyhill Naples set.We were told the man that ran the furniture dept would be back to work on Friday to come back then that he would be able to help us with our furniture. I go to get my furniture Friday Sept 3 and magically someone found the furniture set and sold it out from under me on Thursday..I’ve called the other Big Lots,Rainbow City,Hoover,Homewood,and Jasper and no one has the furniture set I wanted..I was so upset..They don’t know when another set will come in but I could order it and pay out of pocket and get it within 10 to 12 weeks..

I love Big Lots, they always have unique stuff to look at and buy. I found what I was looking and other items also but I had to wait 15 minutes in line to check out. There were only 2 cashiers but they were very nice.

If I could put zero stars I would. Has been one of the worst purchasing experience that I have ever had. The store manager is very rude and very unprofessional. My husband and I bought a sectional. Once we got it home and unwrapped we got 2 left sides. So far we have not received a response in how they plan on fixing this for us.

I love Big Lots. O can usually run in, pick up what I need and be on my way. Its convenient, the prices are decent on most stuff and if you take the time to look they have some really unique items.

I was very surprised at the quality of products in Big Lots. I haven't shopped at a Big Lots in years. I was delightfully happy that we have one so close to home. I will definitely be back to this store.

I actually like going here it's a quiet clean store and the people are very nice. They have a little of everything and generally it's things that I'm not used to finding sometimes. They actually have a decent little Electronics section where you sometimes get some real gems

Their curbside service is a joke. Waited 20 mins in the curbside area on the phone kept on hold before I was helped. They had plenty of staff just standing around. All I ordered was one bag. Ridiculous! No apology or explanation given.

We finally found a recliner we wanted and Stan in the furniture department was great. We came from Ringgold to Trussville to get it and he had it ready for us. Stan truly made this Big Lots the friendliest store in town.

Everything that I wanted/needed was in stock & easy to find. On my way into the store I was greeted very cordially with a smile by the manager ( I think ) who was helping a customer with their mattress purchase. Once I was quickly able to gather my items for purchase & made it to the register, Dannie was a customers ( & I imagine a supervisors as well ) dream. VERY attentive. VERY cordial. VERY professional, but VERY human as well. She didn't get upset when the customer ahead of me fumbled with her card as she was making the payment. She smiled & assured her that the machine didn't always work the first time. She didn't get upset with me when I just KEPT on talking. I don't get out much because of medical issues & my daddy said that I would talk to a fence post if there wasn't anybody else to talk to. Dannie took it all in stride. Her smile is radiant & genuine. I could tell by our brief interaction that Dannie is " just good people " as the country folks used to say. I was in terrible pain when I went in to Big Lots. Pain affects every part of my life. I won't say that I was in less pain when I left, but I will say that the few minutes that I spent with Dannie just made me feel better in general. Yall got a prize in Ms. Dannie. Please treat her well. ***No! I'm not related to Dannie & I've never met her before today. She's a person that you would remember crossing paths with for a hundred wonderful reasons. ***

A sort of general store. Tends to carry a lot of stuff not common for the area, and often carries a lot of goods at low prices. Much of their stock changes often. So you can sometimes find a good deal on interesting items.
