My almost 6 month toy aussiedoodle Kobie has been there three time to get all his vaccinations and so far good. The staff very friendly and accommodating so that is definitely our go to for Kobie’s vaccinations and when we need anything regarding his health and we’ll being! I brought my baby Macaria to get her anual vaccines and the staff and Drs were extremely friendly and caring. Even though my baby was anxious the staff treated with so much love. They even texted me with the results of her tests. That is true customer service. Excellent service indeed

Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pup! My dog literally RUNS inside when we pull up. The receptionists are always so excited to see him & the vets answer all of my questions. Avondale Animal Hospital is the best!!!

The experience at Avondale animal hospital is incredible. We have 4 fur babies so things can get pricey and they always work with us to make sure every one is taken care off, without spending more than necessary. Staff is always friendly and loving, and punctual. We also had to have emergency surgery on one of our pups last year and Dr. Brown was an absolute angel. We truly believe he would not have survived without her attention to detail and support through the days of his emergency. I can’t say enough good things about them. If you are in search of a new vet office, this is your place.

My service at the Avondale Animal Hospital was nothing short of amazing! The staff was very kind, professional and extremely helpful over the phone and in person. Dr. Brown and her assistant Morgan answered all of my questions and gave me recommendations for my puppy’s diet and preventative care as this is my first time as a pet mom. They were also very caring and gentle with my puppy while giving him his vaccinations. I highly recommend their services for your pet’s health needs! ❤️

I’m so grateful for Avondale Animal Hospital. They have the kindest staff, and Dr. Atchison is a true gem. Everyone was so kind when it was time to say goodbye to my senior dog, and they treat all my pets (including a cat who turns into a demon during every vet visit). It makes a big difference when vet staff and doctors interact with and talk to your animals. They love on mine like they’re their own!

My wait time was about 15 seconds, LOL! Amazing! Everyone in the clinic was so nice from the moment i walked in—from the front desk, to the vet tech, and then the vet. My puppy was nervous but got a lot of love from everyone and quickly felt comfortable and happy. Great place, 10/10 would recommend!

I am switching to this vet immediately!!! My senior dog hurt her leg and I took her in to Avondale animal clinic because their prices are better than where I’ve been taking my dog for a decade. My expectations were only exceeded when I walked to the door as the vet techs are so kind and gentle with my anxious senior dog, and our vet was amazing!! I will only be taking my pets here going forward!

A google review seems like a small way to say thank you to the staff at Avondale but I wanted to share how much this team has meant to me these past few years. My family has used Avondale as our vet since they were the Southside Animal Hospital with Dr. Harris back in 2009. When I became the full caretaker of my family’s senior pets in 2020, the team at Avondale helped so much. My girls, Sofie and Cinderella, both had lots of health issues in their final years and the team at Avondale helped me navigate their needs with the utmost compassion. Dr. Atchison has always been incredibly patient and thorough with their care. He took the time to help me understand their needs and make the best decisions for their wellbeing. When it was time for Cinderella to pass earlier this year, and then Sofie last month, the team was right beside me the entire time. I’m so grateful that my girls got to live long and happy lives. So much of that is because Avondale was always there for us when we needed them. I am forever grateful to the entire team: Janet, Britney, Christy, Ivey, Dr. Atchison, and all the other vets and techs. Even though I’m moving out of state soon, I’ll always think of Avondale as my vet.

We have been looking for a permanent vet since relocating last year and after reading many reviews, decided to try out Avondale Animal Hospital. The office had adequate parking and it was clean and smelled fresh inside. The staff was friendly and I felt they listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I plan to bring our other pets here when their annual visits are due.

The staff was nice and tried to help but were way wrong. I was told my dog had internal bleeding probably from a tumor, and it was suggested that I go to the emergency vet as soon as possible, which I did. The emergency vet found no bleeding, no tumors, possibly a pinched nerve in her back, which was causing her pain. My dog is now on pain medication for a week and anti-inflammatories. She should be fine.

Dr Allbritten and entire staff was so kind and wonderful! They got me an appointment same day and made it a quick and seamless experience for me and my sick anxious cat. They were so thoughtful and mindful of her vet anxiety as well. Highly recommend using them!

I have been going to Avondale for the last three and half years since getting my dog. This clinic has gone downhill. They will charge you a second exam fee if they prescribe your dog the wrong medication even if you return within a few days or a week's worth of time from the original visit. Not only do the vets seem to be inexperienced but they charge an exorbitant amount for regular services that are far less at different clinics. They also have a rotating staff - from the veterinarians to the support staff - they have all rotated out in the last three years. Lastly, they will charge you an $8 medical waste fee if they so much as use gloves or a swab.***I received a call from Dr. Atchison following my initial review. He started out pleasant enough in explaining their procedure for treatment of my dog's illness which did give me some clarity on why they may have chosen the treatment prescribed. He did offer to waive another exam fee. However, my underlying concerns still stand about the staff of the clinic, my general dissatisfaction with the treatment we have received over the years as well as the exorbitant cost. I stated that I would no longer be utilizing their services at which time he accused me of lying in my review and verbally berated me. Cannot stress enough just how much I would suggest you use this vet if you love drama in your life.

I LOVE this place! I am a new dog mom to a 15 week old Springer Spaniel. I initially found Avondale Animal Hospital due to all the great reviews, and they really do live up to them!! My sweet puppy Penny got very sick a few days ago, and they calmly walked me through what do over the phone and then encouraged me to bring her in for observation. So glad I did! They were empathetic, kind, compassionate, and reassuring while I handed my sweet sick puppy over to them. She was in the best hands! Also, I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Brown, Penny's doctor. She has such a great bedside manner, and I can tell she truly loves my puppy. HIGHLY recommend!

I 100000% recommend this veterinarian location! It was super clean inside and everyone was so sweet; from the secretaries in the front to Dr. Brown and her tech inside the room, Coco and I had a wonderful experience. We are from out of town so anyone who has pets knows how stressful it can be finding a new place to take your furbabies. My doggie developed some intense anxiety after her first dental appointment at a different vet (I don’t think they did anything wrong! My dog is just a bit intense with her emotions lol) and when I went to schedule an appointment online with AAH, we were able to book something for that very same morning, which was awesome! We walked out with a couple prescriptions and paid less than $50 since their first exam is free (also awesome!). Dr. Brown was very informative and clear with her advice and both her and the vet tech (who I feel so bad about forgetting her name) were so kind and gentle with my nervous dog and thus she was much more relaxed than I expected her to be! Coco is now doing so much better and has tapered off her meds almost completely. So glad I came here and while I hope we don’t need to see a vet again, I’m glad we found Avondale Animal Hospital in case we do💕
