Took a drive out to try this place out after reading the great reviews about how good theBBQ was. Ordered the pulled pork plate with fries and slaw with a side order of stew. I've eaten BBQ pretty much all over the U.S. this was by far the worst pulled pork I had ever had. It was so dry you couldn't put enough sauce on it to make it enjoyable. On to the stew. I'm not really sure what is was. I ate two bites of it and threw it away... still not sure what it was. My wife couldn't even finish her meal. She did say the potato salad was good.

Great pulled pork! Love their thick pork sandwich! They're a meal all by themselves! Jim's also has a good selection of food besides BBQ! Quick friendly service! Don't drive by without checking ot this restaurant!

Really really good smoked pork...really really quick...but...and I love supporting local restaurants....everything else about this place is unoriginally chain restaurant like. Unimaginative side dishes that are straight from a distributor unaltered. If you want to be a local place then separate yourself from the chains.

On my way to my first ever Alabama football game and stopped here. What a great experience for an Alabama fan. Food was great and plentiful. Now I just wish I lived closer

I was in the area for some work and saw this place pop up on the map. It had pretty good reviews so I decided to stop in for an early lunch. I ended up getting the Big Jim pork sandwich and some corn fritters. The bbq was moist and smokey, the sauce was a little sweeter than I normally like but still tasted great and it was a huge portion. The corn fritters were fantastic and flavorful. As a Clemson graduate I felt under attack by the Alabama poster wall covering but it was a great place with a nice smokey aroma in the air. I would highly recommend a stop if you are in the area!

We were passing tho and stopped at Jim's and so glad we did . The best food we had in a while. Great service. Jessica was AWESOME . The photo salad and baked beans and ribs and the pulled pulled was beyond great. If you are ever passing tho here and looking for good southern food this is the place for sure. Great barbq, fantastic onion rings, friendly service. Good selection of "Mike's pies". So glad we stumbled upon Jim's, hope to go back when I'm in the area again!Parking: Easy parking right by restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space. Booths and tables. Family-friendly. Walls covered with a history of Alabama sports posters and photographs. Many famous coaches and other well-known people have eaten here!

Great Bar-B-Q sandwich every time. Can’t pass by when they are open and not stop! If you’ve got time the. You should stop and eat here. Great sauce.

My cousin Jeanette owns this place. I've been here as a kid and I'm familiar with the "secret family recipe" BBQ sauce. But never have I actually ate here. I came here today at almost 31 years old, and finally ate in here. I didn't get our famous BBQ sauce, but I got a grilled chicken sandwich and potato salad. The potato salad tasted like i made it myself. Which is a high compliment. That family recipe i know so well. Completely delicious. The grilled chicken sandwich was also delicious. Definitely worth waiting for. I felt right at home. I'd like to bring my friends out here soon. To see where I'm from and to taste the food that runs in my family. I also tried a chocolate pie. Oh goodness!! A must have. Bless the lady who makes those. It was divine. I will have to come back soon to get one of those.
