Customer service is good. Mainly if older over 60. Very knowledgeable. Helpful with picking holsters or ammo. Prices are really up there due to inflation from dumb democrats in government.

High Prices, the store seemed to be well stocked. I just didn’t like the fact that I was being watched as if I was a criminal. However, i spent about $480 bucks just to support the biz after all.I still would recommend this location to the people.

A large variety of sporting supplies and accessories. The store is always clean and organized, and items are in an area and tend to stay in that area. No searching. I'm not one to pay extra for items, but I feel the quality is good.

I was in there looking for 300 blackout ammo I asked one of the workers where was the ammo located he showed me so I picked up some cheap ones and a good brand one and walked towards the checkout on the way to the checked I put one of the boxes on a table because I decided to just keep the good brand ammo so I checked out and on the way out the door the dude ask me where the other box at so that let me know he was watching me around the whole store to see if I was going to steal something so I told him I put them down on a table in there and I pointed where I had left them at I don’t know if it’s because I’m a young black men or people who look like me always stealing out of there but I was racially profiled and want be shopping there no more

Very nice and well educated staff. Most people associate anything cheaper at Walmart. Not the case. Simmons has sales .Real Discount on good items. Nor WalMart quality.

Friendlies people you will ever deal with.any problems with any item u buy they will do 100% their best to make it right. I highly recommend buying all your guns optics reloading supplies and fishing equipment from Simmons sporting goods I think all the staff for your loyalty to customers

The folks in the store themselves were lovely, and very friendly. I just want to make that clear. However, I wasn't kept updated as to the status of the firearm that had been shipped to them, and had to call twice to learn it had arrived, after about a week.I was told to call them by the online retailer which sold me the firearm, but was received with some annoyance and confusion on the phone, and told they would call me. Two days pass without word, and when I call I find that it was prepared for me the day prior.Still, in person they were nothing but professional, and the ladies up front were extremely welcoming. I think any discomfort I felt was caused more by the circumstances of being in Bessemer than anything else.

Going to Simmons sporting goods is like going and visiting family I will never forget the first time I ever went to Simmons sporting goods I was a tiny little kid my cousin took me in there he was going to buy some ammunition I probably was 6 years old Mr simmins talk to me he was the nicest man you'd ever want a grandfather that you have never known he made you feel welcome he always made you want to come back and visit I love the people and want to always come back very often 💖⭐🌟

Parking is not bad considering it's in a down town setting. The reason for that is a very run down area around Simmons. However as you enter you'll find a large selection of clothing, fishing, hunting, and even items you wouldn't expect like bath bombs. The service is still excellent and that's probably what's allowed them to outlive many businesses around them. I would highly recommend stopping by here for any outdoor needs.

Simmons is an awesome retailer. I have bought many items over their website due to they offer free shipping and no tax to GA! I recently ordered a red dot optic over a Labor Day sale and FedEx lost the package. I called to let Simmons know what had happened and the red dot was now sold out. They let me know more was going to come in a few weeks and I could get it sent then. Simmons gave me an option for an upgrade to a higher end model for free. They didn't need to do this, but I accepted it. They are a great company with even better customer service!

I've been going to Simmons my whole life. Literally my whole life. If it wasn't a good sporting goods retailer, I would have changed the habit by now. Since their expansion several years ago, it's just made for a bigger selection now. Competitive prices. The firearms salesmen know their stuff in and out. Including optics. Although, occasionally, you have to overlook the rare attitude from just a couple of them. But overall, my favorite sporting goods store, bar none.

Clean area. Nice employees! It's been a very long time since I walked inside Simmons. All I knew about that place was that they sell hunting items and guns. I walked in today and I was amazed by the shoes and different clothes they had for sale. They even had stuff for kids too, as far as different clothes and different shoes. I'll be going back for sure!!

Mr. Simmons is a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly owner which sets the rhythm that his employees follow. I suppose that 8 decades of family experience, dedication, and hardwork are also factors in their success in this industry. It was a pleasure to meet you Clay and I appreciate your hospitality.

The older gentleman that wears glasses and is a ex sheriff I believe is awesome. Great service for myself not sure about the other staff, they have the best deals around for new firearms also I’ve been shopping around a lot and this place is it for deals. My only gripe is the location it’s not in the most savory neighborhood.

Went there today and went to the gun and ammo dept and stood there for about 20 minutes and not once was I asked if I needed help. while one guy behind the counter finally walked around to where I was and helped a guy who came up behind me. I left and went to Academy sports and spent $142.00 on ammo and went to Mark's Outdoors and spent another $100.00. They both appreciated the customer service I received at Simmons today. They said keep up the bad work!
