What a great petdad shopping experience this store is. I have horrible social anxiety and it never gets triggered here due to being around so many animals and animal lovers. From the friendly and knowledgeable managers in Angel and Tim to the cashiers and stockers like Donna and Alejandra and Maddy, this store provides the least amount of hassle in my pet care day to day for my dog Honey. Aside from her excellent customer service, Alejandra is also a Spanish speaker so that makes being as detailed as possible with my pet care questions that much easier, as Spanish is my first language and English is my second language. Nate and Deedee never bat an eye to show me what treats and toys would be best for my Honey girl. I commend this store and its employees. They all deserve raises. Si no hablas inglés, no hay falla, solo busquen a la empleada que se llama Alejandra, y ella si sabe hablar español y te ayuda con lo que sea.

This location is always clean and well organized and stocked! They stay on top of any back dated stock too, which is always nice. Everyone is friendly but Ms. Donna in particular always makes my day.

This location has been my go to for years. The employees in the grooming salon has always been so kind, respectful, and always willing to help my fur baby Bear and I because he gets very anxious when it’s haircut time. Unfortunately, this past Monday was the complete opposite. I had an appointment at 11:30, dropped Bear off at 11:20 and was getting a phone call by 11:24 to come get him. The young lady advised that they couldn’t even get him in a kennel because he was so upset. I asked did y’all even try because I haven’t even left the… She cut me off and said I understand that but we are going to have to refuse service and reschedule. I then replied you know what don’t worry about it, I’m walking back in to get him. When I re- entered the salon, the young lady handed Bear off, and I did make a comment that you have to actually try with Bear. He’s very afraid so you won’t get results in 5 minutes. The big tall female groomer behind the counter condescendingly blurts out “Well, you’re the one that booked with Jayden and not Christy and per our notes Christy is the only one who can touch him.” Which was surprising to me because first off, no one has ever mentioned this information and why was she talking to me like this? So I explain no one has ever told me that, and that I’m unaware of whats in their system, and I only choose who’s available online. She still says that I’m the one that chose Jayden and I should have chosen Christy. I then grab Bear, and went to ask the cashier to call the store manager. And low and behold, the store manager was the lady standing in the salon like mute, allowing her employees talk to me in that manner. So when she walks out I say, so you’re the store manager and you just stood there and said nothing? This lady had the audacity to say that when people come in so aggressive that she doesn’t know what they might do so she doesn’t intervene. First off, I was NOT aggressive period. Concerned yes, but aggressive, no. Secondly, as a business management major, conflict resolution and problem solving are 2 of the top managerial skills needed to be successful. So, taken back is an understatement. Anytime I tried to explain myself to the manager, she would purposely make gestures like I was about to attack her , like I wasn’t allowing her to speak , acting like I was about to hold her hostage 🏾, she was over exaggerating so much she was forcing herself not to make eye contact with me . (I’m 5’4 123 pounds, so I’m not intimidating at all) So I say, let me allow you to speak since you’re trying to make me out to be this aggressive angry black women, and of course she does what all racist do, started telling who her black relatives are 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏾. She then offers me and free cut and bath for Bear which was nice, but even when scheduling that appointment, I was trying to talk to her and apologize for something I didn’t do, and she was still purposely trying not to look at me like I would attack her if she made any eye contact with me . Therefore, I’ll never spend a dollar at this location again. Go to Hoover guys! They are so much more diverse and they have way more patience with scared pups. The manager is not afraid of African American women. They don’t act like you’re an aggressive criminal when you show concern about a service they offer.

The cashier seems really nice, but she is also very sarcastic and really takes money serious. When I used a gift card, she was upset that I wasn't spending cash or my debit. "Wow must be nice having a gift card and not having to spend your money on all these items. Want to use some of it to donate then?" --this was her comment to me. I find that really odd..They treat their fish, hermit crabs, small animals like garbage. Temperatures aren't right and the creatures seem miserable. Sometimes you will find some dead. Hermit crabs need heat and humidity at a 80/80 ratio. They keep it around 60 and no humidity. Poor creatures. They care nothing for their animals and get them from nasty mills. Take a look at the betta fish in the small cups next time. YIKES...ONE POSITIVE: I love their groomers. I would definitely find the one with the most experience, but they have always been caring with my animals. I love PetSmart for that reason only. They do well with your dogs.

Fantastic customer service the cashier made sure to tell me about the rewards program which ended up saving me about $12 and earning me even more in reward points. It was exciting to find the type cat food that my cat likes at a reasonable price. The coupons that were available online were actually something I can use.

They have a big 2ft by 2ft sign says .99 cents it sits on directly on top of a metal bin full of cheap dog squeaky balls well that is until you check out and that's when you'll be charged 2.99 each!! False advertisement the big .99 cent sign means nothing!!

So.. I took a dog from the fabulous Shelby Humane Society who is vacationing with me this week into the store. No idea how she would act but I thought she might enjoy the interesting smells🙂and I love going there! PetSmart manager,sales folk,and customers were kind to us and helped us find everything we needed. And didn't judge us😅❤️ Thanks for the fun experience y'all and for caring about the people who shop with you and their pets.

I went to Petsmart in McCalla on August 3, 2022, I bought 2 beta fish, both in separate tanks. One fish (the teal one) didn’t even make it through the night, I went and exchanged it’s dead body for a new fish, the blue one, and now, not even 8 hours after, the blue beta is dying too. And the gold colored one isn’t far behind, he’s just laying on the bottom of the tank. I have all the correct water (beta water) and both tanks have a heater, filter, and light. I take the care of my fish VERY serious, because they are family to us. Every single fish I’ve bought from McCalla pet smart has died within the first 48 hours of being in my home. I will not be getting anymore fish from this store. And I suggest you not either.

Grooming Day for these two fluff heads. Groomers were super sweet and the pups loved their spa day. He got a much needed haircut and looks 100% happier for it. And she got a bath and pawdicure.

Brittany H in grooming is the absolute best. My baby recently had surgery and has lost all function in back legs, it’s really hard to keep her clean and Brittany surpassed my expectations. She is super sweet super patient my sweet summer will never have another groomer! If you want someone patient and sweet and overall upbeat book Brittany H!

Christy B has been bathing and cutting our Yorkie pup for months. He loves going to her and is treated like a prince by her and the whole staff. I have been extremely happy with Christy’s job, her availability (seems popular) and her communications. She has gotten to know our Norman and it shows in her work.He leaves there smelling so good and it lasts for days!!The entire staff at this location is phenomenal.I couldn’t be happier that we found Christy B!!

Bad idea to advertise one price, IN THE STORE, then argue with my wife after over charging her.... We really spent hundreds... And you lost is over $15... this will be my last penny here. The expire date on the sign is 5/2/2021. Manager went and pulled the sign down.

This was my 1st as a PetMommy going to Pet Smart while on my 1st road trip with Levi. I was super excited. I became ecstatic to find that there is always a 75% off bin!!! As a disabled SSDI recipient this helps my budget stretch beyond needs but wants as well. Also glad to know it's a nation wide chain & we have one back at home in Knoxville.Can't wait to go back for my new baby Levi. Who's my service dog but also my 3rd child. Never knew I could love an animal the way that I do. So I'm glad to know that a store like Pet Smart specializes in what I need to take care of this new family member.

Awesome groomers and staff but do not get your long haired dogs trimmed here. Unfortunately they do not know the meaning of the word. My Aussie has long shaggy hair that requires a trim twice a year, I usually go elsewhere for this but I entrusted them only to find my dog completely shaved in the butt, she has a doxed tail and even it was completely cut off short! Regular brush and wash ONLY. You've been warned.

I adopted a kitten from them & they were very helpful to make sure I had everything I needed. She did end up having fleas so make sure if you are adopting to check for fleas!
