Hands down best vegan restaurant my family has ever eaten at!! Warm and friendly welcoming and the place smells amazing of great food! The chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies took me back to my childhood. We travel to thirty states and have been vegan for almost a decade this place is truly one of the best places we have had the joy of experiencing!

Mrs. Israel showed great customer service, very genuine, and passionate about helping her community heal through herbs and food. I loved eating the Kaleicious wrap very flavorful. Also, if you are just transitioning into a plant based diet she has great resources and food items that make you feel like you’re not missing out.If you want to heal, feel vibrant and energized it’s time we choose better food options and the Good Health Cafe helps us do just that!It is possible to eat good and feel even better!Kid-friendliness: My toddlers also enjoy eating plant based meals!

My husband and I aren't vegan, but when we feel like our bodies need a "reset" we seek out vegan, vegetarian, or raw food. This place is a wonderful. Food was fresh and flavorful. We will be back for more.

Bessemer is a gritty industrial area. Imagine our surprise at finding the best vegan restaurant of our lives there. We shared the mushroom burger and chic'un burrito. Burger and just about everything else homemade. The best we've had anywhere. We had sides of field peas and (baked) sweet potato fries. She does not fry, just bake. It was a wait because it's only the owner/chef and people walk in and call for carryout. Well worth the wait. She calls it "vegan soul food". So delicious and hearty.

Delicious food! I got the jackfruit sandwich and sweet potato fries. And chocolate chip cookies. The sauce that came with the fries was amazing! Good variety of menu options, really nice owner. Delicious cookies, I wish I’d bought more :) Thanks for a delicious meal!

Pretty sure I've reviewed this place before, but I love it so much I'm doing it again. DELICIOUS food and smoothies -- healthy, fresh, AND made with love, you can just tell. My lunch today = the farmer's market wrap (!) with butter beans (!) and the yellow gold smoothie with ginger and sea moss added (!). I would rather come here once a month, as a special treat, than go to cheaper food joints four times in a month. Really grateful to have this place here.

The café itself is quaint and chill, and the lady who runs it is charming and lively! Street parking. The location is within their home community, to which they wish to give back by providing a healthy alternative such as this. I had the "millionaire 'burger'" along with sweet potato fries - quite tasty! It was piled high with veggies, avocado, and other add-ons. The burger look and texture was great. As usual with meat substitutes, you must treat it as a new kind of "meat" rather than compare it to actual beef. If you do this and let it stand on its own, this burger (along with other substitutes) tastes great. Next time I'm here, I want to try the jackfruit "pulled pork" and possibly a smoothie. This was my first vegan restaurant experience and it was quite lovely! Highly recommended for those hesitant on exploring this new type of cuisine.

I've debated awhile whether or not I was going to try the Vegan lifestyle. I have to say after trying their food today, I was 100 % mind made up!! It is AMAZING, I am a delivery driver and have picked up food deliveries here before for other people and they have always been so sweet to me! They get 5 stars from me for great food, warm environment, and kind hearts!! Thank you guys!!

We were in town visiting family for Thanksgiving and my boyfriend is vegan. There aren't many vegan options in the area so we ended up at this restaurant. My boyfriend had the million dollar burger and a smoothie, I just had a smoothie. When we placed the order the guy told us that he had one person in front of us. We waited for almost 45 minutes for the food...one burger and two smoothies....45 minutes. The food was way over priced for what you receive. The smoothies were small and cost about $10.00. The burger looked like something my kid could have thrown together and it was small. Long story short, the food was decent but not worth the time or money.

Delicious doesn't begin to describe the food. We ordered lunch and dinner to-go as we were passing through the town. The Kale wrap and Jack fruit BBQ sandwich are our top picks. Not only does this place offer amazing food, they are in this specific location to give back to their home community by offering healthy food. A great mission accompanied by delicious food and awesome service. I will be back soon even if I have to drive out of the way.... I may even plan a trip just to eat here again!

I've been here twice and each time was a pleasant experience. If you are in a rush, call in your order. The Happy Feelings Tropical Good Smoothie is the best. I've also tried the pulled pork sandwich which was surprisingly good if you're not vegan. Check them out for good healthy food.

We tried this at Vegan Fest in Avondale, so good definitely worth the trip. We tried 4 different menu options and had a pleasant experience beginning to end, furthered by how good we feel after eating! Owner was extremely nice and welcoming. Now I really should’ve taken a picture of my burger first, but I was so ready to give this burger a try I ate it! However I did share it with my niece, my mom, and my daughter as I’m trying to get our family on a better way of eating, a lifestyle change. I was so surprised and thrilled that they all said they liked it!! So from now on, well for now anyways, I’m going to treat myself to a different item once a week until I’ve tried everything on the menu and I will keep all of Bessemer posted.

After learning about this place from a friend, I had to try it out. I had the black bean burger and I have to say. It was the best burger I've had in a long time. The taste was out of this world! Also, the service was superb. I will be returning and I definitely recommend!

Really good! Hard to believe it was vegan. Don’t expect the food to be fast, it is all prepared from scratch, but worth the wait. Not cheap, but, again, worth the price!Don’t quite understand the name, maybe someone can explain it to me?I’ll definitely be back!

It’s hard finding vegan food that’s well seasoned and flavorful, but by God this food was amazing. Seasoned perfectly- THE FLAVOR WAS IMMACULATE!! Not only was the food delicious, but the owner was such a sweet heart when we went to grab our food. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much!!!

I cut meat out of my diet 7 days ago and never had a veggie burger before but I ordered the millionaire combo and it was fantastic! I know now that this will be a lot easier. David was very nice and helped me out on what to order knowing I was a beginner.

I’m from Virginia I wanted some healthy food, when I tell you this was the best food ever. I had the walnut taco it was to die for. I wish that I could have this delivered to Virginia. If you want something healthy and delicious go there…If I could give 20 stars I would.

Very nice and welcoming people! Ordered previously through Grubhub and decided to go in store this time to order. Went to order cookies and left out with cookies and some cupcakes. I HIGHLY recommend!
