I really wanted to post a good review, but I’m torn because of what they gave me. Walking in the door to handle my order, paying for it, and going across the street to give them what I needed pulled was a pleasant experience, but I spent close to $3000 dollars of my hard earned money excited about my project, just to get a bunch of molded and broken up wood stacked under some decent wood. That’s not right.And I can’t just turn it around without paying for another flatbed rental, which required me a $400 deposit at Metro in Homewood, plus $.99 per mile driven. I may get $75 of that back.Since, I was pressed for time I couldn’t do a thorough inspection and accepted what was given to me. If you don’t know renting a flatbed isn’t cheap and they aren’t available in Bessemer. If they are I don’t know where, and neither do the people that work there, because they spent five minutes (more if I wouldn’t have asked them to forget about it) trying to guess where I could go. I had already called ahead to reserve one in two other spaces, but just asked in case they knew something I didn’t that was closer.I informed them that I’d be back because I had to go across town to get one. That five minute conversation caused me the two minutes that got the garage door shut on me, even though I called and asked to speak to someone across the street before they closed. The lady that answered the phone seemed nice enough and I explained that we were caught up in traffic down the street and would be there in less than five minutes. She put me on hold and never came back to the phone, when I pulled up at 5:02 like I said I would (still on hold) - all doors were shut. I knocked on the garage type door and someone did come to the door and a very nice gentleman that understood that there are time limits on rentals helped us out.I understand he didn’t have to, and they were debating on telling us to come back in the morning. But there were a few good men there that were understanding and helpful, it’s amazing what people will put you through because they don’t want to work fifteen minutes over the clock, and the killing part about it is the lil mixed looking dude with the reddish beard had already pulled this and had it waiting for us. So, shame on you for this bull.

I am very pleased with my experience here today .I went window shopping for a project . I couldn't decide between 2,3, or 4 windows for what is being done . The guy showed me with a measuring tape what I would actually be looking at when windows are put up . Instead of him trying to talk me into three or four windows, he helped me decide that two would be enough . Very thankful for the honest help!

I worked directly with Joe on ordering some supplies for a deck, and he was fantastic. He stuck with me through various design changes and was always happy to update my invoice and even special order supplies that I needed. The lumber and composite decking came in looking fantastic, and Joe even accommodated with a last minute delivery of some 20' boards I needed at no extra cost. I worked with him for over a month to get this order in, and he demonstrated excellent customer service at every point.

If I could give them no stars I would I purchase a heater yesterday and from the start it was defective they informed me I did wick wrong. The hearer is defective it came that way seriously one day and they won't accept a return. I will NEVER shop here again!

If they don't have it or can't get it believe me when I say they are prepared to go out of the way to gather information for you even if it doesn't benefit Fountain Building! Countertops cut perfect! High quality unfinished Maple Cabinets! Very Helpful people. Always willing to do and go where Home Depot and Lowes won't with their customers!

Let me start off by saying if I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered two doors SIX weeks ago from Curry @ Fountain. Curry, the owner/owner's son is never reachable when we call, he is either "on the other line" or "out to lunch". When he finally does come to the phone he will tell you he will call you back in 10 minutes (which he wont) and you have to call him back hours later. Today, after six weeks of waiting and getting the run around, Curry answers the phone (after calling him 4x) and says "ah I don't know man, I don't know what happened. I'm not even sure I even ordered those doors". As a busy renovation company in Hoover, I would advise to never order from this company, as you may or may not get your product.

I went to Fountain Building and Supplies and bought 10 sheets of 3/4 plywood and they got me loaded up in no time and I was on my way back to the shop..Very friendly service

Manager rude, purchased a kitchen cabinet carried cabinet back cheap material cabinet was half gluded together no finishing nails to secure the, corners bracket half stapled to side that was to support it. Had to put a nail in the sides to get it back to the store. I would not recommend the Bessemer store for any items for your home that is supposed to last. Kitchen cabinets are not purchased on a weekly basis when you purchase a wood cabinet NOT partiboard you except it to last not come apart on side to side when a customer has a complaint regarding your product I would think you would handle it in a professional matter put them in your house. Don't sell it to the public.

COVID PRICE GOUGING Don’t buy anything from These people . (( COVID )) Jacked price up called got a price on 20 ft 6x6 it was 74.00 went to pick it up 108.dollars lady behind counter said sold one for 93.00 I was told 74 over the phone same pallet only 7 left and only all little bent (( Curry said no way)) I try not to buy big box store and help local businesses but you can’t bite the hands that feed you .
