I’m not sure if they are going out of business or just doing inventory, but it’s REALLY empty in there!! Had to go to the other Dollar General (3 minutes down the road) to get the things I needed…***Update***Jan. 2024-Went back in to check out the store and slowly but surely things are being restocked. I’m fairly confident they should be back to full operation in no time! If only they would hire more workers… 🤔 Here’s hoping!! 🤞

To whom it may concern:Your store is right around the corner from me and it’s never open. It’s poorly managed they open late and close early and something needs to be done about it! That’s one of my favorite stores i go around there for the convenience. If i have to go a little bit further to get what i need i guess i will have to, just wanted to make y’all aware of the problem thank you have a blessed day.

Came here at 1pm, Wednesday and several people were in shopping. Doors were closed however and someone came and said they are closed. Sat in the parking lot for a few minutes and saw several people were coming in and out. Some with bags or carrying items. Very shady. I'll shoo at another store location or maybe somewhere other than DG altogether 🤔😡👎

I would love to thank NatashaAnd Georgyeta I have a autistic granddaughter I have to save anything I canSo these two blessed people are excellentThey work extremely hard and had a lot of patience with me because I'm always in a hurry in case my sweet granddaughter has the seizure we get no money from the government yet I have a little small businessIt's 180 per week just to go take her to therapy anyway to make it short these two sweet ladies are absolutely awesomeThank you Dollar general they are the best !!!

This store will no longer have my business. The prices don't match. Baby wipes sticker had $1.50 on it, When I got to the register, it rung up $2.65. Washing detergent sticker, $3.75, rung up at the register, $4.35. I like to know the true price of the items I am buying beforehand and not be surprised when I get to the register.

The store seems new but there is normally stuff everywhere in the way, blocking the aisles. They normally don’t have the things you need or you have to look through the top shelves that are packed with random stuff. I only gave it two stars because the cashiers are friendly enough and don’t seem to look like they are in the pit of disparity that the overall atmosphere gives off. The shelves that do have stuff them tend to look like someone just walked through and with their arms out wide just pushed everything out of the way as they walked the entire aisle. I don’t know if they are currently going through new management but if not they really should.

This store is the worse, they are always broke down. They always have some sort of issue with the system. The shelves are always empty. It’s been this way for 7/8 months I know. And I really don’t know why I’m wasting my time writing this because if it’s been going on this long corporate isn’t going to do anything about it. I will never shop at about her dollar general because if they can’t get mine in my area fixed I won’t bother going to another one. It ridiculous.

A good place to stop for most major groceries and around the house items you may need, saving you from venturing into walmart or similar. Checkout can be challenging at times, due to staffing issues and surges in times of business. They have recently remodeled, and the new checkout lanes have proven to be more efficient. The convenience often comes with a price, as most groceries and essentials, with the exception of some store and value brands, come with a higher ticket than most retailers. The app is full of digital coupons and can sometimes help with that burden.

I love this Dollar General . They have one of the best managers at the store location that I have ever seen at any Dollar General that is he is a very sweet nice looking gentleman he's black with dreads and he has very good customer service skills and always make the customer feel right nose above and beyond to make sure the customer has what they need .I have their app that always tells me when the good deals are coming I love being able to use the app to scan the items right there in the store to see if there's a coupon or deal. Also I like to be able to check the price in the store with my phone. And I have very rarely ever had problems at a Dollar General except for one time at a store in Bessemer it was cold and I was wearing a big jacket I put my cell phone in my pocket the next thing I know the police show up and say that we were trying to steal that the lady saw me put something in my pocket so me and my husband had to empty out our pockets and it was a Friday and we're just got paid from both of us working 62 hours a week give or take because we were working for a seasonal company that hung Christmas lights so we were working from daylight to dark. My husband had over $1,000 in his pocket and I had around 8 or 900 and when the police saying that they was like why would you need to steal if you have money? And I ask myself the same thing and this was the store in Bessemer by visionland Parkway on Bessemer Super Highway. And he said did you put anything in your pocket and I said the only thing I put in my pocket with my phone everything else I had in my purse and they apologized for having to come out and ask us about a stealing but not once did the store attendance apologize.

The store was clean but was out of the laundry pods that I actually went there for, I ended up spending $80 and had 3 small bags highest thing I purchased was a $11 item, I am getting ready to go over my receipt bc maybe I am over looking over something but I just want to check make sure, but the employee was nice young man who was getting trained ,and he was very nice and was trying his hardest to get the line took care if

Love the doll of generals and can usually find some pretty good bargains but find most stores really in a cluster will find them scattered all over the place the store though was pretty organized compared to some others that I've been in. Guess it all depends on who managers the store but I would think extra people would help the situation but might drive the prices up just a little bit.

This is an average place friendly cashiers,but is oftentimes out of what you’re looking for,a few things can always be found and usually for a nice price but if you go to pick up a lot of items they can be depended on to be out of a couple.I live in a place that has several locations nearby that are better

Only went to this location for convience. It never fails to be a disaster area. Stocking carts on every aisle. Impossible to walk down any of the aisles. Items that are on sale are NEVER to be found. Workers don't know how to do their job. I Will Not go to this location again. Very 😢 this store is such a mess. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE AGGRAVATED!

I just left the dollar general on Bessemer Super highway.The amount of boxes sitting in the Isle with all the supplies still boxed up it felt frustrating because the items I was there to purchase was not out on the shelf's it's pilled up in boxes everywhere. I guess I should feel lucky because at least THERE OPEN! THEY SEEM TO KEEP DIFFERENT HRS THEN WHAT'S POSTED CLEARLY ON THE DOOR. YOU DEFINITELY NEVER KNOW ABOUT THE DOLLAR GENERAL LOCATED ON 3011 9th ave North Bessemer.

Stock all over the floor you can not push a cart around the store. The store is a mess nothing is in its right place. Prices on shelves are not correct. When you say something about the price the sales associate calls you a liar. Very bad experience.

Only one register open with a line around the corner. 2 or 3 people stocking the shelves. Felt like I was at Walmart. Asked if they could open a register she was told they were down. So only 1 out of 4 registers work??? Perfect time of year for that. SMDH

I love running into a dollar general but this one never has things others have.. it seems like the shelves aren't stocked regularly.. its a clean store and employees are friendly.

I went in Dollar General looking for shaving cream. After 5 mins of looking I finally asked the cashier where it was located. He said on the back wall. So I went back to the back wall for another 5 mins and still couldn't find it. I finally found another employee and he showed me exactly where the shaving cream was. Behind the cashier no where near the back wall. I told the cashier where it was just in case someone else may ask. He was apologetic and told me to have a nice evening!

This store do not honor the sale sign in front of their item. Obviously employees don't know how to read and put the sign anywhere. Pricing always wrong because old labels still up.Back to Walmart I go at least they will honor their pricing.😐😐😐

Always a great place to shop. But Dollar General refuses to hire enough employees. You can tell that the employees are stressed to the limit. I would hate to work for Dollar General but I love to shop there

The associates set their own store hours here. Very often, if you try to run in anywhere between 30 min to 1 1/2 hours before closing, they are already closed without any explanation.

This establishment is not enforcing the mask ordinance set in Jeffco Ala yet wants to inact exact tender for cash paying customers. The service is subpar and freight is always displayed on carts not shelves, maybe if the associates would not spend so much time engaging in idle conversation among themselves the shelves could get stocked.

This is my closest DG to my home and it seems to always the same... Not enough employees too much to stock for the ones that do most of the time crowded, but otherwise great store.

Nice little store employees seem to be nice every time I come in you will always at some point in some sore run into an employee that is having a bad day but if it happens continuously obviously that is just a rude employee but this Dollar General does seem to be neat and tidy and keep their stock up on the shelves.

It's Dollar General. People don't work there because they're so exceptional at customer service. The store was a wreck, and the cashier was ratchet. But, you get what you pay for.

I really am not fond of this location, but as it is most convenient for me and my dollar general needs, seems it is my choice. The staff are generally rude, have gotten out of date contents on many occasions, and the parking lot is nasty, along with a peddler that lurks in the parking lot begging people for money as soon as you park.
