Best sausage I have ever had! Will recommend Monroe to anyone. Smoked link, medium heat in sheep casing. We took in @ 300 # of deer, gutted only, got 116# of sausage and 10# of butter fly loins. The cost was @ 5.19 per #. You can not buy quality sausage without it costing more.

Just an FYI, I got ONE deer processed at Monroe Sausage this year. I had Sausage made with Cheese and Pineapple. They said my 147 lb deer yielded 70 lbs of meat. Talk about Price Gouging! I'm talking $420! PLUS I was charged $16.25 for using my Credit Card. I've had many a deer processed and NEVER paid more than $186.One of the guys in our club took 2 deer in for processing, had the same kind of Sausage made plus burger, and paid less that $200, so yeah, something is FISHY at Monroe Sausage! Now, that being said, the Sausage IS very good, but worth $420? NO WAY. Had they'd told me on the phone how much they wanted, I'd have told them to keep it! I will NEVER go back and other members of our club feel the same.

Website and phone states they are open 7 to 3 Monday through Friday. We love conech sausage, so thought we would try monroe sausage. Drove over 40 miles out of our way to find the store closed and no one answering the phone. Heading back to conech!

The shop smelt like maggots, I got an entire deer processed. The backstrap was green when I got it back. That happened two years ago and I have never been back.
