The ladies here are amazing! We lost our corgi and was sure he was gone forever but Candice is an angel and she looks at all the missing dog sites, she saw my post and immediately reached out. Not only did she reach out her mother did as well. There was another woman who works there (I was so overwhelmed I missed her name) she was just so sweet. They are both so kind and welcoming I couldn’t thank them enough. Odin (our little escape artist) was happy to see us but he was obviously taken good care of.

I found a dog on side of the highway and after checking to see if he was chipped and trying to find the owners, knew I couldn't care for this dog. I called this Wonderful Place!! They told me they were full, but were able to fit him in. He was so happy and me too because you can tell these people care and love the animals!! They are also a NO KILL SHELTER!!!!

A friend of mine adopted two dogs from them in May. The big dog started showing unpredictable aggression toward the other dog first, then toward my friend. The dog was laying on the couch, head in my friend's lap. He pawed her arm for 'pets'. She pet his head, and he attacked her. Sadly, they called the shelter to come get him. Two ladies showed up. They asked my friend and her roommate to leave the room because they believed the dog was afraid them. No questions were asked, they just took the dog and left. Today, the dog was posted on their Facebook page with a post "Eli's back, through no fault of his own. " I commented on that post. My post was removed and I was blocked from the site. It's bad enough they made my friend and her roommate feel even worse than they already did. But to say this dog is sweet and loving is misleading. I pray they're honest should a family with young children consider him.

Adopted these two little cuties over the weekend. They are loving their new home. Always adopt don't buy!! There are lots of animals that need a good home. The staff was very friendly and helpful, looking forward to walking dogs for them soon in the future.

Very friendly but gave bad advice about heartworms per Delta Vet. Heart guard does NOT treat existing heart worms. I love Mona.

The old lady was very rude! We where ready to give a good home to a dog on a lake with plenty of room to run... if I could give -5 stars I would. I hate the lowest I can go is 1 star. She obviously wanted to keep all the dogs to herself. I reckon I will go back to buying from a breeder where they are willing to help me with a dog.

Beverly was so sweet and helped my sister adopt a kitten! We tried to visit a different animal shelter, but the phone line was busy for well over 30 minutes. So we called North Baldwin Animal Shelter. Beverly answered and she told us that due to covid we couldn’t actually enter the building which was fine with us because we know how safe everyone needs to be in times like these. So we told her what we’re looking and she recommended an 8 week old kitten that matched what my sister was looking for perfectly. We then got an appointment that day as soon as they opened with no difficulties at all! Once we arrived, Beverly brought the kitten to the car and we got to see how we liked him and it took literally 1 minute to realize we were in love with this cat. Beverly made the experience so much easier than any of the other animal shelters around here! Definitely will be visiting here when I adopt my first pet!

This shelters customer service is horrible the assistant director is dismissive and has a bad attitude towards black people.I put an application in called to check status 1st I was told my application was denied because of not having a fence .They didnt check anything on my application for I live in a fenced dog community .Once I told her this the "assistant director "said let us check I will call you back she never did so I called back she had an attitude because I called her back. She then said your not approved because the dog might "this is a hyperthctical" get hit by a car in the parking lot while you are trying to walk him.Its policy we have areas to walk dogs , we do not walk them in the parking lot. You can not make up things to disapprove applicants because you don't like a persons color or persistence.I called her on it and she said it could happen, if that is the case no one would qualify if you use hypertheticals.they are not fact that was her way of being dismissive and biased to disqualify or not approve my application. Fact is that has never happen in my community. There is policies against this and areas made especially for our dogs saftey.We are a dog community at the Vinings and others in my community have gotten dogs from there is what makes it so bad .However none of them are of color .We all meet the same qualifications.Not even the ones on NBS fb are of color getting pets. I called again to speak with the director the assistant director insisted the director couldn't speak with me and would call me if she gets time. Horrible women

Very rude and dismissive. We live more than an hour away, and they are only open two hours per day. We left in time to arrive when they opened. They met us at the car and told us to leave and to call to make an appointment for another day. We explained that we drove over an hour and asked if they had any appointments for today. She replied with, "well I drive over a hour to a lot of places, but you can't come in today."

I adopted a dog from here on May 17, 2016. When I first saw her she was still recovering from being neutered. I thought she was just a calm fluffy little puppy but when she got home and got comfortable she hasn't stopped bouncing off the walls since! She has such an attachment to me as I do to her. She is the love of my life. She was rescued by them from a "breeder". She was pregnant when she was neutered. She has a chemical burn on her side and two broken back toes from her old "owners". Even with such a rough past her smile never faded and she shows it everyday. I love to thank this shelter for letting me receive such a beautiful gift in my life and for taking such great care of her. God bless!!❤️

Horrible people!!!!! Do not take your pet there. One of the employees told me they still have the dog and is keeping her for themselves. The staff is rude she slammed the door in my face and told me to buy a new dog. I pray they get shut down

My friend went to meet a fur baby she had seen online. The ladies at the shelter were so sweet and helpful. Would recommend everyone to adopt !

They were not open but unlocked the door for us so we could make a donation to honor a friend.We were met by a pack of little old dogs. So happy those seniors found caring people .

Love this place, the staff is absolutely amazing very knowledgeable about the animals they get in and are willing to take the time with you and the adoption. They don't push or rush you they allow you to take your time. There absolutely wonderful.

The staff and volunteers that work here are awesome! You can tell that they love all of the pets that they care for. I would definitely recommend adopting a pet from this shelter if you live in Baldwin or Mobile county!

I tried to go see some dogs...they told me it wasnt a good time,just got back from spring break.They are only open 2 1/2 hours a day,put up pics of dogs,but dont want you to come there.Shame....adopted my last dog there and she was a treasure.The woman on phone was so rude! Such a shame! I am a dog lover and wanted to adopt from there.

This shelter whereI I got my puppy Kailey with I later named Haven and she's a loving and caring canine they take great care of there animals at North Baldwin animal clinic so please adopt an animal and take great care of him/her.
