My dog Cooper lost his BFF in 2021 and started having major issues staying by himself during the day. After he tore a hole in his kennel, I decided to look for a daycare spot. Enter woof ave. They have treated him like family. His first day he was so nervous and shaking. Now he jumps out of the car to run inside. I’m so thankful that they treat him and all the dogs and cats just like family!

I brought my elderly very nervous dog to Woof Avenue. As soon as I pulled in Jonna was there to help me get my very scared dog out of the car. The animals that came to greet us were just so sweet. I showed her a picture and they did a great job on his grooming. Jonna even helped me get him back in the car. She is a wonderful person doing great things with these rescue dogs. I wish I had taken my dog here sooner. Highly recommend Woof Avenue

Been taking my pup here for almost 3 years! He loves going to day care and I love that they always treat him like family! The staff is always super nice and helpful and sometimes they’ll even post the occasional photo on Facebook of the dogs having fun together.

My Miller and Gracie love going here! They go weekly for a bath and once a month for grooming. They have boarded and have attended doggie day care! The staff loves them just as much as I do!

Woof Ave has been a HUGE asset to New Hope Rescue. Not only have we become good friends, but shelters working with shelters makes a difference. Woof has helped NHR with boarding, grooming and working her tail off to help save dogs and cats. She takes care of the community pets and still have a little time for her family. She puts your pets first.!! If you need a boarder/groomer, she's your girl. Call Woof Ave..!!!

WOW!!! I’ve been using Woof Ave to groom my cat for a few years now. My cat is typically very timid and weary of strangers. Today I witnessed him HUGGING the groomer while she shaved him. He could tell they are such good people here. They did such a great job on him, he looks like a clean little lion. Also, the cats and dogs they have there greeting you just radiate such love and happiness, you can tell they are adored and well cared for. I am a FREAK MAMMA BEAR with my cat, and I trust these people with him completely. I highly recommend them to anyone for their grooming needs. Though I haven’t used them for boarding, I can assume that they would be amazing at that as well. 11/10 stars, so so much love for this place and the people working there. I cannot verbally explain how happy I am with my experiences here.

Had to make an emergency trip out of state, and decided to board my fur babies here for 3 nights. I’m so glad I did! The entire staff was amazing. You can tell they really care about the animals. They also gave my huskies a phenomenal grooming!!! I highly recommend!!

Love woof ave!!! They are amazing and accommodating!!! They do a wonderful job of matching the right animal to its person. They really know their animals, and after a few questions about lifestyle and such, they knew just the right dog for my family!! They really really care, and it shows!!

Please do not take your babies here. They cut my goldendoodle's foot and failed to mention it to me at pickup. I am sure they will respond saying that she was matted, to which I was told she only had a matte on her chest and behind her ear. Had they mentioned that she had been cut I could have avoided over $200 worth of antibiotics and Vet visits. When asked for refund for the poor groom I was told "we have already spent your money on other dogs."

The employees are polite and so kind to our dog! He is a senior dog who hates traveling, and has not done well staying at friend's house when we go out of town. We decided to try Woof Avenue, and they have gone above and beyond to attentively care for our senior dog. He is happy and relaxed when we pick him up, which says a lot for the time spent there. Thank you so much Woof Avenue!

If you want your fur babies to be treated like family Woof Ave is the place! All you have to do is stand in the lobby and watch the regulars come in! They LOVE the staff! They are happy to be there! Tails wagging, kisses for the staff, and excitement in their attitude. Wouldn’t take my puppies anywhere else!! The staff loves what they do and it shows in the customers!❤️

Very helpful folksIt was great to watch a young girls ask her father "Daddy, can we get the white one?"They had visited before and filled out their paperwork to adopt. The brown and white dog was a cuddly and licking one. The brown and black dog was more reserved and cautious. The brown and white dog was also more comfortable playing with my Pup. I would have made the same choice.

Took our dogs there twice for grooming. The first time my wife was pleased with the job they did, but the second time our male dog came back with an inflection on his private from being clipped which we tried to treat on our own and, after taking him to the vet, came back with a yeast infection in not one but both ears because they did not pluck the hairs in their ears.I called them, granted a few weeks later, and it took me up to 6 phone calls to get ahold of anyone there. After being placed on hold multiple times, I hear in the background before being mistakenly hung up on, that I should’ve called sooner and since I didn’t it’s apparently not a big deal and that I’m just trying to get something free. The fact that my wife was already disgusted by animals running freely there and urine on the floor just walking in the first time wasn’t enough, hearing the unprofessional response in the background tells us all we need to know about Woof Avenue.Spending an extra $150 for vet visit, meds, and a cone on top of grooming shouldn’t have to be a thing.

We love For Paws Boutique and Rescue. We rescued a pup there 2 years ago. He is the sweetest most loving dog. He has also stayed at their daycare and we have also used their boarding services. I can't thank them enough for taking such care of him, as well as taking care of our 14 pup who needs her nails clipped and well she is an older dog and doesn't tolerate much. But she also loves going to For Paws.

I've been using For Paws for a year; complete with a rescue, daycare every day, grooming, and boarding. My dog typically doesn't board well but she has not had any issues when boarded at For Paws. The pup I rescued from them got very sick recently and Rebekah and Cindy both came to see him at the vet and helped me through the entire situation. All of the staff clearly love the animals as their own; I can't imagine using anyone else for any needs for my pup. I recommend them to EVERYONE!!

What a very nice and friendly staff. Lots of small dogs for adoption. We got a 3 yrs old and they let us foster her for 2 weeks to see if she's a great fit for our family. We got her today. would recommend

My dog loves For Paws! We went to another daycare for a few months but Ellie never wanted to leave my side when I dropped her off. At For Paws, she is excited to go play. I wish their facilities were more spacious and I wish they had a grass-covered outdoor play space because some days when I pick her up her paws are smelly. I know she is loved and well-cared for when she is there and that means so much to me!

You might as well forget you own your dog if you don't have "papers" and it gets dropped off here. Even if you have photos of the dog that's still not good enough. The whole point of a rescue is to get the animal back to their owner or adopted, but apparently not at this place. I don't usually like to do any kind of reviews, but I find this practice so asinine that I felt the need to do so. So I hope you guys are happy that you have kept this dog from the little 8 year old boy he belongs to.

I am new to the area and my wife's colleague recommended the place. I just picked up my dog after being gone for the holidays. I am in service and have had to leave my 80lbs lab in several boarding kennels. Never before had i seen such horrendous treatment. We were running short for time so i trusted the recommendation. I got my dog back with two injuries ( a head and snout) and a stinky urine backside after the manager claimed my dog just had a bath. This place should be investigated for inhumane environment and inhumane treatment of their clients' pets. In addition, i have never visited a kennel as dirty and stinky as For Paws Botique. The place stinks of urine, is coated in dust and the staff looks and is less than hospitable. Has anyone else experienced this?

This place is filthy and is not safe. Don't make your impressions about the place based on the front area. I advise you to tour the place to see where your pet will stay before you leave him/her with them. The back area is seriously a dungeon. The dogs were piled up on each other, and it was a concert of barking dogs. I am sure many pets came out sick. I will never bring my pet here. They treat the pets as dollar machines. They aren't necessarily cruel, but they are careless. The staff does not seem professional, and they seem to have shortage of staff because they cannot keep up with the work. When I was in there, I saw at least 6-7 cats locked in a small carrier. The cats were fighting each other inside the carrier. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

I would give this 0 starts if I could- the amount of disrespect I encountered today was unbelievable. I took my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in for a TRIM. I told them very specifically that I only wanted her cleaned up, and that I didn’t want her shaved or given a summer cut. The owner asked if I wanted about 1/2 an inch off, and I said only on her chest/stomach area. Everything else needed to be longer. I repeated multiple times what I was looking for.I came back and my dog looks like a squirrel- everything is as short as possible, and the top of her head is uneven. It’s obvious that they were trying to cut corners and not take the time to groom properly. When I asked about the reasoning for the different “cut” the owner was very short with me and kept saying that I said I wanted a “puppy cut” which I never said. You don’t give this breed of dog a puppy cut- ever. She was very rude and not apologetic about the situation- and did nothing to make it right. She kept making it my fault and turning things back on me.I understand mistakes happen and miscommunication is bound to occur, but being disrespectful and unwilling to attempt to make the situation better is where I have an issue. This is much more than a bad haircut- this is lack of respect and customer service.

I left my dog at Woof Ave for 5 nights. I will not do business with them again. I really wish they had cameras so owners could see what is going on. They said they had given my dog a bath, but he smelled. He has always enjoyed getting a bath, but since his stay at Woof Ave, he cowers in a cormer and doesn't want to get in the tub. He didn't eat for two days after coming home. He has been sick to his stomach. I think leaving a dog in a kennel and only letting them out twice a day is cruel and inhumane. They said he was going to be a greeter and stay up front, but that did not happen. I am very disappointed with their service and upset to think about how he felt those five days he was there. I think they are overwhelmed with the amount of "rescue" animals they have and are unable to give quality care and attention to those that are boarding with them. This has been a traumatic experience for my dog and me. I hope this saves someone else the trauma we have gone through.

They take such food care of our fur babies! When we fostered/adopted a rescue and it didn’t work out, Jonna and her team walked with us every step of the way to ensure the pup found a loving new home (that I get weekly photos of and get to visit). It’s the only place in Auburn or Opelika that I trust with our dogs.

Woof avenue , what would I have done without you. I rescued a dog that had been SEVERELY matted and left outside to die for over 6 years. I captured her, and a groomer friend of mine helped me shave her down. I couldn’t keep the dog and it broke my heart, but thankfully WOOF took her in. Heidi would have been instantly put down if I had taken her somewhere else, I seriously don’t doubt that at all. Y’all found out she was heartworm positive, but still continued to put in the time, funds, and effort to rehab her. She adores you and I know every animal that walks through the door adores y’all as well! When you walk into the facility, the first thing you notice, is how comfortable every animal is there. They feel at home and like they are loved. Thank y’all for all you do!

If I could leave NO STARS I would. This is the third time I’ve used this place. DO NOT SEND YOUR ANIMAL HERE IF YOU TRULY CARE ABOUT THEM. The first time was only for a night & it seemed great. The second time was for three nights and my dog was sick for a week after. When I picked her up she smelled of urine and throw up. They stated it was due to the food they use. So THIS TIME I sent my own food, upon picking up my Yorkie today they told me she had just had a bath, now 10 mins later and I’m home she smells like STRONG URINE. IF I COULD GET MY $115 back I would request a refund because this place is a JOKE. I wish I could go to work and provide no service and still get paid. This place is disgusting. I’ve called twice and can not get in contact with anyone even though I was told they do not close until 6 and apparently the mail box is full and I can not leave a message. I will never use STANKY ave again.Update:My dog needing to be groomed has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with her smelling like PURE URINE. People READ THE REVIEWS, there is another review below that states the same thing. Furthermore, the business can respond to this post but did not offer any sympathy nor an apology. Like I stated, they are a joke and UNPROFESSIONAL as you can see.

I have taken two dogs to For Paws over the course of 20 or so years....as long as they have been open. Both of my dogs, who have very different personalities, love it there. Neither ever looked back as I leave. They are well cared for (more spoiled than in my own home), and loved completely. The one who loves day care is dirty and exhausted when she comes home....like anyone who has had a great day playing with friends should be. That's why I'd recommend a bath after day care! The first dog (who died at 16) didn't enjoy day care (or the company of other dogs particularly) but loved everyone at For Paws and boarded very happily there. FP cared for her and nurtured me through her final days. I trust them completely and they have taught me to be a better owner and caretaker of these precious creatures.

Woof Ave is the best place to take your animals to, whether it be for a bath, daycare, or boarding. The staff truly loves all animals and treats them as their own. I wouldn't take any of my fur kids anywhere else!

No one should take their dog here for anything EVER. HORRIBLE. When I walked in, there were cats everywhere. I took my dog in for grooming, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided not to judge based on the front lobby, which was dirty and reeked of urine. I should have just walked out with my dog right away. I went back at 2:30 to pick up my dog and asked for a tour. Here's what I saw:For the day care, there were two small rooms that probably had 10-15 in each (big dogs in one, small in the other), with not nearly enough room. The boarding facility was the worst part. It looked like a big storage room or garage with old rusted crates stacked on top of each other, all scattered throughout the room. Some crates were tied shut with leashes. I found my dog (after they initially took me to the wrong dog) cowering and shaking in a nasty rusted crate. He was still wet when I got him out (he was there from 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM), and there was a box fan sitting in front of his crate that was supposed to help with drying him off I guess. It didn't work. The play area in the back was very small and there were just rocks, no grass, and the tiniest corner of shade. Finally, when we got home, I noticed that his haircut was patchy. Places were cut that weren't supposed to be, and places that were supposed to be trimmed weren't. They weren't supposed to trim his face, and they did trim one side, but not the other, so now his little face is uneven, among other things.I would never take your animals there for any kind of service.

Woof Ave has a heart for all animals. Dogs, cats, ferrets. They take the ones who need it the most and are excellent with matching families with the perfect fur baby. Jonna works tirelessly with these babies and has bottle fed hundreds of baby kittens. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and extremely caring for what they do. I would trust any of my babies there knowing they would be in good hands.
