They are supposed to be a pharmacy; However they didnt have a few different medications I needed filled. I get being out of 1, but 2 different medications and heard them tell someone else their meds were on back order! Ridiculous. Everyone acted like they had no clue what was going on. Took 30 mins. To fill 3 of my 5 prescriptions, with 7 or 8 people behind the counter.

Pharmacy reeks of pot. Whatever people want to do on their off time is cool but don't be impaired while dealing with people's medications. I think I saw managers there even so it's shocking no one said anything or they don't care. Not sure but I'm happy I don't use them.

I had 2 prescriptions called in at the same time in the morning 2 weeks ago. I arrive after 5pm to pick up my prescriptions and then I am informed only one is ready.. later in the week WalGreens starts blowing up my phone with calls and texts informing my prescription is ready..I go to pick it up today and am told it is not ready..needless to say I was more than frustrated! I inform the tech that they have been constantly calling and texting me it is ready..she gets it ready while I wait..needless to say I will NOT be using their pharmacy again!!! Incompetent does not even begin to describe the customer service there DO NOT use the WalGreens on Hwy 31 in Athens!!! I am DONE WITH THEM!

John was incredibly helpful and kind. He made sure to give me informed information, that he put me on hold to make sure was accurate. Both times I've called and gotten to speak with him, he has made sure not to make me feel like a burden or inconvenience. Very helpful! I hope that they reward hardworking employees like John the pharmacy manager. I will always ask to speak with him from now on.

Second month in a row they have messed my prescriptions up to the point I run out before they finally fill it. I could look past it if I didn’t have it set up for auto refill and this was the first time. But with it being the second month and then they act like they don’t know what’s wrong with their system. Not to mention they have to be reminded every so often to put it on insurance instead of charging me full price.

Unprofessional. I was having some issues with getting a prior authorization and I couldn’t figure out which end of the system the issue was on. I have been talking to my doctor and even went there to discuss this issue and they sent over a prior authorization right in front of me and then again over the phone because the pharmacy wasn’t receiving them. So I went into Walgreens today to figure out what was wrong. I was explaining my situation to the pharmacy tech and then she not only interrupted me but she very rudely said “well I don’t even know your name yet so I don’t know how you expect me to help you!” So I calmly told her my name and date of birth and she again very rudely said “we can’t do anything we don’t have a prior authorization I’ll run it again but it’s already been run twice today and nothing has come up so we can’t help you” I said “ok I will figure it out”20min later when I got home I have a notification on my phone that my prescription has been filled and is ready to be picked up….. I understand dealing with the public is difficult at times but when I come to you for help very calmly and respectfully and you treat me like I am trying to pick a fight with you it’s very unprofessional. I just needed help and it would’ve been nice to pick up my prescription while I was there since I was supposed to take this medication 3 weeks ago and because that’s how long it took this get this to go through.

My dentist called in my order to the walgreens in Huntsville, but when I went they didn't have it in their system. I had the dentist call it in to this walgreens in Athens, I get told the same thing by the woman at the counter. I told her my dentist confirmed that she spoke to someone and she still keeps telling me I have no prescription. I tell her to ask the other people there if they've gotten a call for my antibiotic and the pharmacist immediately says yes, he got a call from a dentist earlier. He gives her the prescription and she scans it in and tells me I have to wait 15 minutes. Mind you, this was called in hours ago. Walgreens is very disorganized and you'd be better off going anywhere else for a pharmacy.

I came in at 7 for a quick flu shot for school, I understand it was late but I don't get out of work until about 7 p.m. everyday. I asked and very rudely was turned away because it was "too late" and "I shouldn't have came in so late" and would have to come in earlier some other day. So I went to CVS across the street and they were so kind and it took UNDER 3 MINUTES and it was all done.

Thank God I am getting new insurance and don't have to come here anymore. It's been an awful pharmacy for years, seemed to be a little better sometimes, but this last week was the worst and showed me there's no hope for here. Happy to go anywhere else at this point.

Just left and dealt with the most hateful person at the drive thru window. I would definitely recommend going to a different pharmacy at all costs if you are sick and needing medications.

Sitting in the drive through now. I realize they don’t get paid enough for how busy they are, but lord have mercy. I left my prescription there came back Monday and no one could understand that they still had an extra prescription of mine. They slammed the phone down multiple times both the pharmacist and other person working the window were rude as hell. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Guess it’s time to find a new pharmacy.

Drive thru is the absolute worst of any store I've been to. You can expect to wait in a long line of cars wrapped all the way around the building at any time of day. Ridiculous. They have two lanes but there's only one lane operable. They need to open the second lane for cars and hire more clerks to serve these long lines. And I cannot for the life of me understand why it takes 15 minutes for each car ahead of me to get served. I waited in line today just to drop off my scrip at the window and it took 45 minutes. When I got to the window they told me their system was down and they couldn't fill any scrips for the rest of the day. They should have just closed the drive-thru. Absolutely the most horrible place to do business. I am going to switch to a different pharmacy for my medical needs. I have had enough of their consistently poor service.

The people in the pharmacy have lost their prospect of time and think they are the only ones who can fill a prescription. It doesn't take an hour to fill 5 prescriptions when there is nobody waiting.

Visited store today. Had a slight issue with some vitamins not ringing up as the website advertised. Talked to the manager - Deanna - and showed her the issue. She was very polite, professional, and understanding. She handled the problem very quickly. I believe Walgreens could use more managers like Deanna. She definitely represents the company well.

I like walgreens but its abit pricey. They have a large variety of good drugstore makeup but it's like ULTA price. I spend too much money every time i go in here lol but i went in for my first covid vaccine, i booked my appointment online but had to wait in line for a while, which isnt horrible but hardly anyone had a mask on and everyone was huddled close together. Made me super nervous. The poor pharmacy staff looked slammed and overworked. Times are rough.

Can you people hire more pharmacists or get better training? The wait times and lines are getting beyond stupid at this point..and how you try to annoy people to get off the phone when calling to check on a prescription is insanely inconsiderate. its not hard to pick up the phone and answer a 30 seconds questions

Went to get the less than 24 hour covid test. Nearly 48 hours later and still no results, though the woman who did my test told me to expect results by the end of the day on the day of the test. Not sure if they lost the test or simply never put in the results but I had to go to another covid testing site to get another test done. Getting the test done and the person working was fine, but I actually, you know, needed the results of my test.

Extremely long wait times to get a flu shot (told it would be at least another 15 min after waiting for a half hour during the least busy time of the day). Prescriptions are never started before my arrival even when I call in refill in advance. I end up waiting 20-25 minutes even for pre-prepared medicines (e.g. inhalers). The front desk people (store, not pharmacy) are very kind and helpful.

Horrible customer service. I ordered a canvas print as a present for Grandparents day and payed for the order online. I printed the receipt which shows the payment method then told my Mom her print was ready for pick up. When she arrived at the store the associate who was a the photo counter obviously didn't enjoy her job and was in a horrible mood and took this out on my mother. Instead of actually listening to her and checking the order and reading the statement which shows my payment method she insisted that my mother pay for her present. I ordered the same canvas print at the Walgreens in Paducah KY and my mother in law had no problem picking up her print. After 25 minutes on hold with both walgreens online customer service and an associate at the store I was informed that my mother could drive back to the store for a complete refund. Too little customer service too late. Deeply disappointed and surprised since I've never had a problem with any other location.

Straight up lied to me.I drove 45 minutes from Huntsville to get a covid-test and when I showed them my confirmation e-mail they said they still couldn't take me because it wasn't in there system.Not to mention the drive thru took me over 30 minutes it's the slowest wal greens I've ever seen. If this is your only pharmacy option I got 2 words for you: Good luck.

Very friendly service. 20 mins tops to get my meds. They take savings cards and don't treat you badly. They send a text when your meds are ready or due to be filled. You also get a savings card and can save points. Love Walgreens. I've used the window twice and haven't had any problems at all. I normally prefer going in for the interaction. They are very nice and helpful.

The manager and the clerk upfront are not helpful and were downright rude today. The Walgreens coupons did not work, and they got huffy when they had to void the transaction. Not sorry for posting and calling you out on your behavior.

I went in to purchase something that was on sale, buy 2 and get 1 free, but they only had 2 in stock. I explained the situation to the employee at the register and requested that they sell the items at the discounted price that each would have cost if all 3 had been available. While I waited, she called and spoke with two managers (Alyssa and Stephen?) who would only offer to take half off the second item, leaving me to pay a total of $2.00 more than I should/would have. I gave up, came home, and placed my order online. Internet sales are rapidly reducing the need for human employees in a lot of situations. Customer service like this is partially to blame.

The drive through is the slowest it has ever been. If medication isn't ready, have them come back through the line. It is wrapped all the way around the building. Keep it moving. I wait around 10 minutes for each car.

this pharmacy and the techs are the worst. Every time I go and get my husband’s testosterone and ask for needles, they NEVER have the ones he needs. EVER!! And we have been going there for a year. Plus when I go through the drive thru, I could be the only one at the window and I see no customers inside they still take 15 to 20 minutes before they even come to the window and another 10 before they can find my husband’s or my prescription!! And the techs never listen to anything my husband and I say to them. I was talked into buying a larger injection needle after I had been telling them that my husband only uses 18 but the tech said there were no difference. Well I ended up taking my husband to the doctor the next day and because my husband used that injection needle and it had caused him to have a horrible reaction to it.If it wasn’t for the fact that we prefer Walgreens over any pharmacy we would have stopped going to this one in Athens Al

Not my usual choice for shopping, but they were close by and had what I needed. I was, unfortunately, allergic to their store brand, and developed a rash/burn from the adhesive on the product.

Horrible place. Went to have my diabetic prescriptions transferred to Walgreens. Provided all information and was told my meds would be ready in two days. Seemed a little odd to take two days but ok. Returned two days later and they had no record on me ever being there nor seemed to have any interest in resolving the issue. Horrible, horrible customer service. Just search problems at Walgreens. Educate yourself on how this company is constantly under fire for illegal and immoral practices. Don't take my word for it. You'll see. Run, run away.
