What a great bunch of people! Friendly and helpful, kind and courteous. Prices aren't bad and the store is a cute mom and pop style, where you feel welcomed and business is appreciated.

I always enjoy my trips to the Limestone Farmers Co-Op. They have a wonderful selection of flowers, plants for the garden, herbs, etc., and there is always someone if not a few people, available that seem happy to help out with any questions you may have or in my experience, give tips for gardening and anything else you may need more information on. Just the other day, one of the lady’s that worked here, helped me out tremendously with picking the perfect type of tomato plants for what I was looking to grow and took the time to explain the differences between all the different ones they had to choose from. I’m fairly new to the gardening world, so this was extremely helpful to me and I appreciated the time she took with assisting me so thoroughly. Would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be back!

I called the Limestone County COOP and was told that the 6" X 8' posts were $15 and some change. I drove over and told the clerk what I needed and after some time he finally said they were $18.89. I said the guy on the phone said they were around $15. The clerk said that the person on the phone must have looked at the wrong posts. I was stuck so I only bought 5. I drove to the back and they wanted to load creosote posts but I did not want creosote post. They loaded what I wanted and I went back in side. The slow clerk said he thought that is what I wanted (not sure where he got creosote from our conversation)but he returned the posts and then told me that the treated posts were $18.99. He said he did not know what the non-creosote posts cost more. I paid for the posts and then talked to a guy who seemed to be the manager and explained everything that I had gone through. He said the "true" 6" posts were $15 but that I had the tapered posts. I told him that I did not know they made a tapered post and would not asked for them. He said they could exchange them out. I was done. I told them to return the posts and refund my money. The slow clerk eventually credited my card and I drove around bake and unloaded the posts myself and then went to Tractor Supply for the posts. I paid $4 more but they were friendly, helpful and professional.

Great prices on the animal feeds we need for our mini farm. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They even showed me how to give our puppies their shots, and sell every type you need (except rabies).

Friendly service. The people who are employed here are very knowledgeable about their stock. They've always had a great business. That is why they have been there so long. The place to go for about anything you need. Feed, fertilizer, plant food, equipment, parts for repair, etc

I am only giving 2 stars due to the fact that the co-op sells red hummingbird nectar and clear, but the red is much more deadly to hummingbirds, (both clear and colored is not healthy) because their kidneys cannot metabolize it the petroleum based dyes and it leads to kidney damage, then failure and a slow painful death. Hummingbirds only need 4 parts water 1 part cane sugar. No dyes! Dyes/food coloring is not healthy for humans, especially children and the elderly, so I don't know why people think it's good for a bird that weighs less than a nickel with the kidney size of a pea.The staff member I dealt with helped with with questions about my rose bushes professionally.Edit: Nov 17. I went in 2 days ago. A few employees working. Not 1 greeted me or offered assistance, but an older gentleman walked in a few minutes after me and not only was greeted, but was offered help in finding what he needed. 😡 I needed help too!!

Recently I went to the Co Op to purchase topsoil. Their price was reasonable and they provided a lawn service that would pick up and deliver. I purchased 3 scoops and arranged for it to be picked up the following day. The driver of the truck apologized saying that he didn't see what was loaded until after it was loaded. He said that it had clumps in it. I figured some clumps because of the rain but I wasn't prepared for what was delivered. It was full of large clumps, rocks, gravel, sticks, weeds (wild onions included) and clay. Really unusable except for fill dirt. I went to the Co Op to complain and the clerk looked at me like why was I saying anything to her. Then she replied that it was top soil and they don’t screen it. I replied that I should have been told that up front before I purchased it. They have lost my business and I have changed my plans about buying mulch from them.

The lady that answers the phone hangs up while you are attempting to order Or ask about ordering mulch and dirt by the ton. I needed more than one thing and she was too impatient to allow me to ask or purchase. When I called back she does it again and again . Then She seems to have trouble finding a manager or someone to speak to you. I might as well shop at Lowe’s. She didn’t want me to buy a couple hundred bucks worth.

The limestone co op no longer sells worm pills for cats and dogs in single doses, and I'm disappointed about that. The gardening wisdoms and agricultural experience is really valuable to anyone trying to diy their landscape.
