Everything you could need for my fur babies! I needed kitten milk and was surprised there was a variety! My babies, Sueca the mom, Jack, Snowball & Cake are my sweet babies! They got treats and toys that day, too! They don't just have cat stuff, of course. There was something for all domesticated animals and even sell & groom pets, too! They staff was especially nice as well! All-in-all we had a great visit! 😻😽

I was looking for a new place to trim my overly energetic Boston Terrier after moving to Athens. I was worried because he's a handful. The young lady took him, I stood back to watch and she handled him well. I was impressed and will definitely be taking him back on the regular. The other staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Great service and value. The shampoo is fantastic, very clean scent. Our dog was in bad shape before his appointment... he was shedding his undercoat! He looks extra handsome now! I couldn’t be more satisfied. We are return customers/client.

The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is calm enough. The stock of pet supplies is beyond what Publix and Walmart have, and...well, animals are awesome anyway. I'd recommend a visit to this store, even if you don't have any pets, as I'm sure the staff would be more than willing to help you on your pet-owning journey.

I wouldnt recommend this store at all for anyone looking for Bird toys, Cleaning supplies ect. Their selection is very small and pretty embarrasing. The toys they do have are outdated and look plain boring. Cockatiels are $200 and they arent even hand tamed. Staff is not knowledgeable at all.

This trip I purchased a small dog food and water bowl stand and bowls. I also purchased a small self feeder and water bowl as well.This time I bought another bag of betta beads to replace mine for his monthly change.This trip I scored on some awesome 75% off stuff for dogs. Also great sale on dog treats this trip!!! 10 lbs of dog bones for ~$13

I have separate reviews on the guinea pigs I bought with fungal infections & on separate purchases (4 months apart) and they were still selling them knowing they had it. I went in tonight 10/16 & they had 3 full grown bunnies for sale and they were big enough to barely have room to stand up and turn around. I asked the worker if they ever got to get out in bigger cages and he said no, unfortunately they were dropped off by their owner and they didn’t have anywhere to put them but this small area. So these are bunnies who were surrendered and petco thru them into this cage

Such a fun place to shop for my pup! Great employees, very courteous. Nice little shop. AND THE LIVE ANIMALS ARE IN CLEAN CAGES/TANKS WITH CLEAN WATER AND FOOD DISHES! (unlike many other pet stores)

Unfortunately I didn't get the girls name but she took the time to come to my vehicle (my dog was too shy) to help with what size collar was best for my dog. She's great with animals and very patient. She was very informative on products they sell and did an excellent job at suggestive selling. Wonderful young lady

The groomer does an excellent job every time. She's been there a while and I like that but I wish she had more consistent help to get the pets out quicker. If I drop off at 8 am its usually at least a 4 hour wait to pick back up every time. But she does an excellent job. I will keep using Pet Depot just because she is a good groomer.

I visited this location a week before Christmas and I not very satisfied with my visit. When buying a couple fish I was trying to ask questions about how to care for them and the 2 teenage girls (one had dark brown hair with glasses) were to busy talking to each other and cutting up then to even acknowledge I was speaking to them. I ended up having to call as soon as I left to get answers to the questions I had asked. When bagging the fish they pretty much threw the bags around on the table. I'm no expert on fish but how they were handling them just didn't seem right to me. The fish didn't last. Not saying it was there fault just saying if I would of had some better help I might of been able to care for them better. Highly dissatisfied with the customer service in this store. Will not be returning there.

They did not bathe my dog! I don't care what they said they did, they didn't do it! She didn't smell like a blueberry or baby powder like they claim.Her face is all scraped up too which she didn't have when I dropped her off! Not happy!!! I even left a tip. I should have seen my dog first before paying. Not worth the money. My dog literally is forever scarred, by this visit.

A little bummed. Took my daughter in this morning to buy a bunny and they had plenty in the case but when we asked to get one out the worker said unfortunately they can't because the bunnies have a possible respiratory infection. ( I didn't see any signs stating the bunnies were not for sale at this time ) so I had let my daughter pick one out without knowing & it broke her heart not to have left with out the one i let her pick. So I had to drive out of town to get another one.

Made an appointment then they wouldn’t bath my dog. They demanded rabies shot papers. Paperwork I’ve given them a hundred times already. My dog even has a vaccination tag on his collar from the vet. Lady was rude and I’ll never go back.

Don't buy fish 🐠 here , you will get the run around before they replace. Do your self a favor and make them test there own water before purchasing. Never put there water in your tank. You will have sick fish or dead fish. Also parking is always an issue . Just don't do it.

We come from Madison county. 3 weeks ago we came here the fist time, all employees were very friendly and helpful, we got a adorable ferret and some supplies. Today we came here again, when we came in, cashiers were talking with each other, I said Hello to the cashier, she looked at me but didn't answer me at all then continue to talk. We stayed here about 5 mins , meet 4-5 employees , NO ONE said hello to us or asked me if I need any help. I felt ridiculous so I left soon. I was planning to get another ferret and plenty of pets supplies at first.I am REALLY disappoint and I will never be back.

Called on Wednesday made an appointment for grooming for Friday.Told groomer would drop my dog off at 8:00am and have my husband to pick him up around 3:30pm my husband came by to pick him up, he was not ready. My dog has been there for over 8 Hours without water or food or even a bath room break. I asked what was the problem. The manager told me a lie that he was not schedule for a groom on Friday, he was schedule for Saturday. I told the manager that was a bold face lie. I had called on Wednesday and schedule for Friday. The manager told me it would be another hour before he would be ready. I ask them to just give me my dog and I would come back another day when they weren’t too busy. To say the least I was not happy at all. Then to make matters worst they want me to pay $25 for 8 hours of nothing. I refused to pay the $25, they refused to give me my dog. I then had to threaten to call the police to get my dog. There were other customers in the store with there dogs and several of them agreed with me and said they weren’t going to leave there dog there either. Then the manager banded me and my dog to never return there again. That was there loss of business. I could care less because we had been good customers of there for years. I hope they loose a lot more business too. This is poor management skills and the manager should be fired. Sincerely, Gary Smith

Ive bought two hamster from here I am not a hamster expert but I do know a good lot about them. The first one I bought was very small compared to the others and only lived for the rest of the summer, the second one I got there died only a few months later. I believe the health of the hamsters there is very poor, they look very lethargic in there enclosurer there aswell.

I took my fur baby to the Pet Depot on Hwy 72 in the Publix Shopping Plaza in Athens, AL. I do not remember the name of the young lady that was working in the grooming department that day but, I definitely need to give her a BIG OLE FAT A+ for the time she took up with my fur baby; he was very scared and by the time I was leaving she pretty much had him loving her. She said he did so good. The job she did on him was awesome. I will definitely be taking him back there from now on for all of his grooming needs. Hopefully, the next time will be as good as this time 🤞. Thanks Pet Depot Groomer's.

Usually I would give them 5 stars. However today's experience was bothersome. The young girl who helped me with my crickets was lovely as always. Their manager was dismissive and rude when I tried to make a playful joke about trading animals. I have been coming in weekly to check on an animal they had under quarantine for over a month. I have had ample conversation about her with all of the employees and today when I made a joke towards the manager she was dismissive and cold and it just bothered me. She is never a really friendly person and I often feel ostracized by her when simply trying to hold a conversation. For my interactions today is the reason I offer only 3 stars.

I made an appointment a week ahead of time to have my dogs bathed and cut at 9am on a Saturday morning. Got there early, dropped them off and the groomer was pretty rude and short with me. So fast forward to 2pm they said my pets still weren’t done. We weren’t able to pick them up until 4. Easy to say that’s the first and last time I’ll ever use them as a groomer.

I took my small dog to get her toenails clipped today (about a 5 minute task). The groomer was busy with another dog. I asked the associate out front if we should come back and she said no the groomer was almost finished and she hated for us to lose our place in line. We waited for about 35 minutes and at about 10:45 another customer walked in and said she had an appointment at 11:00. The groomer got done with the first dog at 10:50 and walked out of the grooming salon and went straight and got the customer that had just walked in. I understand appointments. I get it. But it was 10 till. She could have cut my dogs nails and been done. What really ticked me off was she didn't even acknowledge we were standing there or had been for 45 minutes. That is just poor customer service and they just lost a monthly customer. I may not have been their best customer but I WAS loyal. Good bye Pet Depot!

This place is great I'm in there so much they pretty much know me by name..... Usually have what I need the two ladies I deal with on a regular basis are great and very helpful... My only complaint is I don't have very good luck out of some of their freshwater species of fish.....

Had our Bella cut and I asked for an overall clip , nails and I wanted her bathed and her face and around her ears cut!THEY DID BATHE AND WE PAID $50…for a bath and hair cut!! I have pictures to prove it her eye crust is still on her face and her ears were not clipped or CLEANED!!!!!VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED
