Loved this store,went thrifting with my daughter,she had told me about it.Just so happened to be 50% off everything in the store when we went so,WE ended up with a cart FULL of bargains!!!!

Awesome Thrift Store overall except noticed their prices have steadily increased over the past 2 years from where everything was either $1.99, $2.99, $3.49, $6.49 etc. to almost all clothes being at least $6.99 some items like name brand they hike up quite a bit. Pretty sad that the old prices and always finding a bargain has kinda diminished although much prefer here than goodwill it has gotten very greedy with prices. Also would love if they organized the clothes by categories instead of all pants mixed together and all shirts like activewear in one spot and tee shirts too. Staff is awesome and a great mission to help the needy and spreading the gospel!! Would say the same for both the Madison location and Decatur one as well!! Love their discount days please keep that up! Also they right with permanent markers on all shoes and house wear items on the back but it is still a little aggravating for OCD people lol.

Downtown Rescue Mission is THE BEST. This seems to be the largest location. GREAT prices. GREAT finds. Love that they have auction items as well. I find so many good and name brand clothes and cute jewelry as well.

They have a massive amount of inventory, which is good, but not all of it is worth having. I did see several pieces of clothing with huge stains or completely worn out that, in my opinion, needed to be trashed. They're also pretty pricey for my liking, but it is a good misson, so I try to overlook that fact. Then again, the stuff is all donated, so to me, it makes better sense to get some money coming in rather than let it just hang on the shelf simply because of pricing.

I have been there a few Times And Each Time It's Something The Dark Haired Manager Really Doesn't like To Help People At All I Had Gotten A Voucher to Go to them To Help With Cloths Back At The Beginning Of Aug For Me And My 3 Children That I Raise Alone When I Got There I Could Barely Find Them Anything So Was Told I Was Able To Come Twice A Year so no worries I Could Come Back On A Later Date To Find What I Needed Here It Is Nov 17 And I returned today just to be told I wouldn't be able to get anything until Feb 2023 I just felt like y'all get these things for free from people out the kindness of they hearts how dare u be so selfish....!!!!!?

The have great prices and very friendly service. the people are always nice and they have great inventory. you definitely want to get their sales calendar they have a sale two time a week where a certain color tag will be 99 cent i love these sales and always buy to much

This place is great! They have amazing deals and very friendly staff! The electronics are all tested and the clothing is in order by size!!! They have periodic customer appreciation days and the best sales! You can get a calendar by the register to tell you when the sales are. Oh yeah...a senior discount, too!! We go here often!**New review! My niece and I went here today and long story short.... I lost my purse!! I was freaking out!!! While my niece was calling the other places we had been that day I was inside searching. The mgr was AMAZING! She was busy, but she went and checked the cameras for me, no luck. I went outside to search my car and see if my niece had any luck with the other places then I went back inside. There was a sweet young girl (maybe 12-13) sitting in a chair. I think she was related to one of the employees....she was the BLESSING OF THE DAY! My phone was in my purse so she called my phone over and over while we walked through the store...isle by isle until FINALLY I heard my ringtone!!! I had forgotten I had tried an exercise machine and set my purse down. How happy I was to hear "Paralyzed" by Sueco (my ringtone)! This lovely young lady saved me!! I was on the verge of a breakdown and all the adults (except the mgr) just acted like it sucked, but it wasn't their problem! I wish I had gotten her name because I'd like to go on all social media and call the news courier to tell this story! I hope someone reads this and tells her just how freaking AWESOME she is! Thank you sweetheart!! With all my 💜!!

We LOVE this store, and can't believe we lived in Athens so long without knowing about it! They run some great deals, have a great selection of items that are always changing, and the people that work here are SO nice! We donate and shop here regularly now, and love that the money goes to such a great cause!

Just dropped in because was in the area, had 1/2 off sale going on that day, even better!Had great clothing items. Was not much furniture. Got some good things but the way it was organized or lack there of, just made it harder to find things.

I got my daughter whole wardrobe here for school. Michael khors. Old navy. Ralph Lauren. Shein. They have great prices. Sales all the time. Friendly staff!

Employees are nice and the store is organized, but the prices are pretty ridiculous. $24.99 for a used dress, Knick knacks were overpriced, and it seems like this pricing structure is consistent throughout the whole store. Even during a 20% off sale the prices were still very expensive for a thrift store. I would probably only recommend this place if you are used to paying consignment store prices.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. I love shopping here and think it’s the best thrift store in Athens. They have great sales days and every time I go in there is different stuff put out.

Price gouges, whoever dies the pricing on this free, donated stuff needs to be fired! Rip off. This is the highest priced thrift store in Alabama. Sraff fies not greet you, they just give you a look. Unfriendly staff.

We bought a beautiful Ashley Furniture entertainment center here for less than a quarter of new cost. There are occasionally some real deals here but you have to check often as the inventory moves fast.

A thrift store with a variety of housewares and clothing. You could easily get a wedding dress for 100 bucks or some pretty unique lamps for less than 10. It had a decent layout, although the isles weren't near wide enough to allow 2 people with buggys to pass each other, so can be a little stressful if it's crowded but they had decent prices on thrift items.

GO TO THE RESTROOM ELSEWHERE BEFORE VISITING. Used to love stopping at the Rescue Mission in Athens and only disappointed in the sales that all the Rescue Mission Store’s as a whole, could have. They do have 50% off once a month and on special days but normally they have a 25% off one color tag, which only includes clothing because miscellaneous stuff is just priced with a marker, not color coded so is only on sale when the store is 50% off. Prices are generally high also. The Salvation Army, a mile away usually has much cheaper prices and multiple sales every week ($2 all clothes). BUT the bathrooms at the Athens Rescue Mission have been out of order for close to 4 months now with no indication they plan to get them in working order again. Can’t be a very reputable or professional business if you cannot supply access to bathrooms for your customers.

I just called to check on medical equipment and the lady that andwered the phone was so rude!! Not to mention it seem to be a pain in the rear to answer my question!! I work with the public and would never treat people as she did!! You never know that person's problems their going through!!! SAD!!!
