Update June 2021:. My daughter worked here for a year. She said she cleaned up several dead mice and rats. She cleaned under the produce coolers and looked liked it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Freezers stop working a lot and instead of getting them fixed they remove the food and put it in another freezer even if it's thawed out and when working again they put the food back in. Be careful in the dairy section. The person in charge does not rotate the products. Always look at the expiration date and the coldness. I personally saw the back rooms on the way to the bathroom, it's filthy through there and the bathrooms are disgusting. My daughter no longer works there due to the fact that management does know in my opinion how to run a store.Great store. Clean. Prices are really good and staff is friendly. The meat section is awesome along with their prices.

My sister & I along with our families moved to the Cowarts/Ashford 3yrs ago & couldn't be more happy with the decision. That being said we visited the Grocery Outlet/Food Depot/Piggly Wiggly for the first time today & omgoodness we were in love. The prices were good, the cashiers or staff were very nice, polite & just plain helpful. We were tickled to be back around a home town store again. We have missed that so much. I can say this...we will absolutely be back!!!

Great local grocer! Convenient when I don't feel like going into Dothan...They have upgraded a lot inside! Local market, and friendly staff!11-27-22, People greet you and make you feel welcome!5-4-23, great local store. The employees talk to you and I know a lot of the customers!

Great store, great prices. They have really good sales, only bad thing about that is they run out of the good stuff. I call ahead to see if they are out of something, they usually are, save myself a trip.

Let me just say this Walmart is not the best place to buy grocery anymore they have increased there price so much it is unreal shop local you know you are getting screwed by Walmart when during a time like we are having our local people and stores are coming thru for you prices are cheaper locally.

Always a nice greeting when I walk through the door. I have a service dog & they've never given me any issues about taking him in. Getting used to the time changes but overall I enjoy shopping here.

New owners have made this old store BEAUTIFUL & Functional. The produce looks better than a lot of the high end stores are displaying. The new freezers are the best!

Always very nice to go in there and see people I know since this is such a small town. I know they got rid of some of the management and the store has seemed to improved. I know two of the manager's named Thomas and Amanda are absolutely phenomenal because every time I go in there they make a point to speak to me and both extremely nice and put customers before they put themselves. I don't really like the surcharge but hey this is Ashford LOL. But I always get such great customer service when I go in.

It's close to where I live so that's why I shop here. Their produce isn't the best in the world but it isn't bad either. But I shop here maybe twice a month for groceries for a 6 person household so I get a lot of food at one time and they always act like I am kind of wasting their time and/or are amazed that people actually buy a good amount of groceries at one time and I don't understand it.

I love this store. Their meat prices are unbeatable and the meat is very good. Their customer service is always good and I usually don't have a long wait time to check out.

My girlfriend and I both go in there regularly and everyone is always so nice went in about 20 minutes ago on Christmas eve they closed in like 35 minutes from when we walked in everyone was smiling saying happy holidays and we were in and out quickly

They have a decent selection of groceries and good prices. They usually have great deals on pork and their meat prices are generally lower than places like walmart or Sam's

10% extra tax? So my cheap prices just got lost in an extra charge for no reason? Not a fan of being charged extra for literally nothing... I'm already getting taxed by the feds I don't need to be charged extra.

I just got to say when it was food Depot it was the same old things all the time so I all when to Winn Dixie to do my shopping now that there is a new owner I love shopping there it is clean I do not smell bad meat when I walk in to the store they got so many new grocery I the thing I don't like is that extra 10% other then that I love the new store .so thank you again to the new owner .

They need lights in the parking lot at night , can't see to put groceries in car are your surroundings, dangerous especially for older people !!
