I purchased three doors and after hanging them I found that one had factory damage. Honestly, I expected it to be a hassle because I didn't see it until after it was hung. I called and explained my situation and was told I could get a cash refund but they did not have one in stock, they would check stock at other stores but didn't know how quickly they could get it, and they had two scheduled to be delivered next week. I responded that I didn't mind waiting just let me know when it was in. Two days later I get an email the door is in stock, come at my convenience to pick it up. No hassle. The reason I left 4 stars rather than 5 is because prices are not clearly displayed.

The convenience of having a hardware store in a small town rather than driving half an hour to big box store is balanced by generally higher prices on most items. Usually has what you need to get the job done.

This is the second best Marvin's. The best is Marvin's on Hwy 157 in Cullman. They have more items then the Marvin's in Oneonta

They are pretty bad, God forbid you know what you are talking about. Some of the service representatives get really rude when you have a conversation and give them a better option. They really don't know what they have in stock even if you call ahead. Dont waste the gas, much rather give my business to the locally owned supply co.*Thumbs down and a Raspberry*

I love wandering through a nice hardware store. Which Marvin's is. It's not as big and doesn't have the variety of a Lowe's or a home depot, but it's local and I like it.

Sort of like an old time hardware store meets current times. They have alot of the merchandise that is used only by the farming community. But then they also have the modern up to date item for everyone. Some prices are outstanding and some are over the top.

Closed the doors early, because the cashiers don't want to work after 6 pm . With plenty of Associates to run the cash register. But they choose the only have one register open. While I was standing here they turn back eight different groups of people .. Their excuse was there already going to be after 6 getting out of the store. Then they should have opened up the other registers. Not like they didn't have enough of people to do it. Rant over

Having been around the construction business for right at 20 years it's always nice to find a building supply that is easy to work with, knowledgeable in every building aspect field- as well as willingness to order/aquire whatever you may need. Marvin's of Arab gets a 5 star rating from me. Go see Kelly, Brandy, Derrick, Karen or Rose, they will definitely help you get situated with whatever project you may have going. Big, small....they will treat you like the neighbor you like living by!

Horrible eperience trying to order countertops. Two months and we are still waiting on our delivery and now we are being told the manufacturer never got our order. This was after calling after our first eta of Sept 9 2016 to find out countertops were not made because the manufacturer had questions, We have had to push and push for answers and still nothing. If its not in stock save yourself the headache and go to another company.

When you call a company to ask if they have something in stock before you drive an hour to give them your business and they tell you they are too busy to answer your question and put you on hold again... you take your business to another company. Sorry guys, this wasn't the first time either.

I enjoy shopping at Marvins. Friendly, knowledgable staff. The store offers most things needed to get job done. They have unusual items from time to time which makes it worth while to look around.

I need one bag of tile spacers after working all day. I got there with 5 minutes before they closed. The staff yelled “closed” and refused to let in. That’s the last time I shop here. Customer service should be the number 1 priority

Well, when a customer ask an employee if they work here, and refuse to help that person then I don't think I will be back there any more, I think if someone comes in a store an need help with something and they can't get any help then that store is not a store I want to deal with. I look at it this I am spending money at your store I am paying your salary you need to help me, so to HELL with you and I will make sure I tell all my friends

Customer service was awesome when I came in because my pipes froze up. They made sure I had everything I needed or may need. I will definently go back and ask for Kelly or Brandy!

Very poor customer service !I have called the store in Arab,AL and some lady will eventually answer and ask what she can help you with....then you are put on hold and no one “ever” picks up the phone to give you an answer !!!!!!!!Thanks Marvin’s in Arab, Alabama, “I can tell you really appreciate my business !!!”So....needless to say I will drive the 25 minutes toLowe’s in Guntersville !

We were buying a box of flooring. It rang up wrong so my husband told the cashier. She told him that he should have told her it was on sale. The manager came and fixed the price but it probably isn't his place to inform them of sales.
