What a truly amazing establishment. The staff and Vets were all extremely compassionate to our situation and softly informative about the steps we were to take. They gave our old girl the best goodbye we could have ever expected, with gentleness, compassion, care, and a genuine concern not just for our dogs transition but for us staying as well. well. I have zero doubt that this clinic will be the only veterinarian I ever use again. I've had cat's since age five and Doctor Brown is the Best! Pet Doctor I've ever had! My cat BeepBeep is living her last days. Doctor Brown has extended her life by two years so far. Hopefully more to come. I wish us humans had Doctors like Doctor Brown. The rest of the staff is awesome as well. So kind, caring and understanding 😇 God Bless you all. Keep up the good work! Arab Veterinary Hospital are amazing. Our pigs that were part of a 4H project became sick within a week of us getting them and they stayed open late so that I could make it to the hospital to pickup the medicine we needed. The front desk and Veterinarian were so kind and attentive and their facility is very well kept. I highly recommend you give them a call for any livestock or pet care needs.

After 2 months of weekly visits Dr Brown could not figure out what was wrong with my pet so they just stopped following up with me. It got to the point I had to walk in and demand test results because they ignored my calls. I’ve had enough of getting the run around from his incompetent office staff after all the money I’ve spent there so I’m taking my 7 fur babies elsewhere. Update… I took my pet to another highly recommended vet today and they knew exactly what was wrong and gave us a new treatment plan Dr Brown never offered. Overall I’m not happy with the lack of follow up care we have received by Dr Brown and his staff and being treated like I was bothering them for wanting answers for my sick pet. This is not the first time they have ghosted me it’s actually the third so I’m done. For that reason I cannot recommend this clinic.

Doc Brown is the absolute best he and the whole staff are wonderful. My Lady is an older pup and would have lost her leg if not for him, she walks perfectly now. He is knowledgeable, understanding, and always does everything in her best interest. He will also make certain you completely understand all possibilities of things that may occur and what we may do at that point, how to care for them and all the dos and don’ts lol. The whole staff is very caring and professional. I can’t say enough about them. Best of the best !!!!

Uncommonly Kind!! It has been a VERY long time since we have had a vet who quite literally will sit with us to discuss our pet's health and any questions or concerns we might have and that is just what he did! I left feeling very confident in the plan he gave me and that was really refreshing. During our time in the office I even witnessed a gentleman come in to pick up medication. He had questions, so the vet asked the receptionist to place him in a room and proceeded to allow the man to ask his questions and gave him a full run-down of the medication and how to use it. They had a fire burning in the fireplace, Christmas music playing on their sound system throughout the facility, and beautiful decorations all over. From beginning to end, an absolutely lovely experience. This was only our first visit and very much look forward to all others in the future! Our cat Willow (pictured on the right) certainly seemed to be a fan, as well! Thank you so much!

Dr Brown and his staff are the best. We’ve used them the entire time they’ve lived here and they’re always great but recently he saved our dog’s life after she ate a chew rope. We didn’t know this happened but noticed her not eating. By the time we realized there was an issue half the rope was in her stomach and the other half was in her intestines. Dr Brown did surgery and removed the rope and saved her life. After a week in their care she’s almost fully healed. Thank you! Also Dr Brown is very involved with kids interested in being a vet. He allowed our son to observe a surgery and he helps the kids from the local schools who are enrolled in veterinary classes. Thanks for all you do!

I endee up with a cat whose previous owners didn't get him any medical. I took him to get fixed and Dr Brown was AMAZING!! The entire staff is wonderful! I have rescued several animals and from now on this is our vet. They are just truly caring people!! Drove 20 minutes from Huntsville to see Dr. Brown. I was blown away the minute I walked in the door by the odorlessness and cleanliness of the facility. Dr. Brown took time to get to know me personally as well as my dog. He explained how the medication previously prescribed by another vet functions with a dogs body. The assistants were very friendly and took time to get to know me and warm up to our dog before taking him back for his vaccinations. The cost was very reasonable compared to our previous vet in Huntsville. I was beyond pleased with the facility, staff and cost of our services!

I took my cat for a UTI. These people made me fill out a form asking for the same basic information that a HUMAN Dr office asks for with the exception of an insurance provider and my blood type. That was the first flag. WHY do you need all that if payment is made BEFORE you can leave???Second flag was waiting for 30 minutes in the exam room and then being told it was going to be close to closing before my cat would be seen and then I was told the exam fee is $45.00, which isn't too bad, but then the fees for urine collection... what? Urine collection??? HE CAN'T PEE on demand and when he does pee, it's little pee balls, not even a teaspoon full...I can understand a urine collection if the exam revealed a full bladder and the animal was seriously lethargic.Then I was told I needed an appointment. I could leave my boy overnight and pick him up on Monday. Ummm NO! He's still eating and attempting to urinate. He's just not feeling good, because of the UTI.I picked up his carriage box and No thanked it and have a good day, right on out of there. AND I BETTER NOT GET A BILL, BECAUSE NO ONE EVER LAID EYES ON MY CAT! I took him to the Vet he has seen before. Find that review on Catoma Vet profile.

Dr. Brown and his staff saved my Sadie's life. She was badly injured in a dog fight. when we brought her in we weren't sure how bad she was. Dr. Brown and his team went to work quickly to first take life saving measures before anything else. We had to wait a few days to do wound repairs.Dr. Brown called me personally a few times with updates. Other times it was the super friendly staff calling. She stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. We got a call every single day and we're also able to go visit her. Dr. Brown kept us informed of the decisions we were facing regarding treatment paths for Sadie.As you can imagine, there was a bill for all of her care. It was actually not as much as we thought it was going to be with everything she had to have done. Very fairly priced. They were also able to get us on a payment plan and didn't demand payment at once.I will always and forever take all of my pets here. They truly care and are the kindest people with the biggest hearts. You can't just find that anywhere these days!

I cannot thank Dr. Brown enough for all the work he’s done for me and my family. He’s brought my dogs back from the brink of death and preformed every surgery my dogs have ever had done and we’ve had no complications and outstanding communication and they call to check on the dogs the day after and give you advice on what you need and the staff are awesome! They are always friendly and super understanding. Cannot say enough good things about this place. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.

I cannot recommend Arab Vet Hospital enough as the best vet in North Alabama. Beautiful building, friendly staff, Dr. Brown is very clinical and wants you to understand exactly what is going on with your pet biologically. Arab Vet Hospital saved my little older dog from botulism when our local vet said she was probably beyond saving and advised her to be taken to Huntsville, if there was time. Dr. Brown fixed her right up starting the next morning, and she was in bad shape. I had another dog who aspirated and got pneumonia, Dr. Brown and his staff did everything they could for him but he passed, and the staff’s tact and thorough treatment, for our living and passed pets, has stood out to me in a big way. I am incredibly grateful for Arab Vet Hospital, would make the hour and a half drive any time I needed to, and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy vet in North Al.

Once again Dr Brown and his excellent staff have provided superior healthcare to my pet.Took my little dog in for an annual checkup. They were glad to see him. They called a few hours later to say he was ready. Dr. Brown told what they did and gave me an update on his health status. Next day they called to see how he felt. Doesn't get much better than that

(Updated) The staff here was great and so sweet, however I cannot say the same for Dr. Brown. It was my first and last visit. This vet is lacking professionalism and any bedside manner. Will be taking my pup elsewhere and I recommend you do as well. Not sure what internal struggle this vet is having but no need to project onto his customers and animals. Wish him well. Bless.In response to Dr. Brown’s response below: Before scheduling this appointment with your office I called to see if you were able to help me with the posting of the dogs ears. They put me on hold and went to ask you. They came back and said you stated that you would help and that it usually takes 6 weeks for the ears to stand. When we got there you stated that usually the vet that performs the initial ear cropping does the posting. We then told you that the vet that initially performed the cropping did not know the correct way to post as this was not his specialty, so that is why we contacted you. You then rudely snapped back to us, “Well, that is not my problem, that is a decision you made” You then told us you would only post his ears for us one time instead of the 6 weeks that we were told over the phone. You then said you needed to go get the material to make the posts and would be right back. Right back turned into 45 minutes that we sat and waited on you and you never returned. So, yes we did leave as there are more professional and punctual veterinarians out there than you. Please don’t agree to a service that you cannot perform. It’s a waste of your customers time. Thank you for your attempted rebuttal, however it falls flat and merits no value. And also, yes I felt it necessary to leave a warranted review. It’s important for the public to know how a business operates and treats their clientele. -Keista

He’s contracted a bacterial infection on his face as well as a couple of other issues discovered during my visit. Dr. Brown was very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Brown literally saved our kitten from a lifetime of sinus infections and expensive medical treatment. He was more open and honest about my kitten's condition, and knew more about it, than my regular vet. After the first round of treatment we haven't had to go back for more! When I got there he was already researching the condition, knew a specialist for the condition in another state, and was so patient when kitten said "That's enough!" and decided he didn't want to be handled anymore that day. I cannot recommend his wisdom and experience enough! He is the closest to a "Dr. House" in the veterinary world that I've met. He came highly recommended by friends and family.

Dr. Brown and his staff were excellent! I found a kitten who had been abandoned and I took her there hoping to find someone to care for her, she wasn't weaned and I couldn't keep her. They took great care of her immediate needs and referred me to a wonderful caretaker. Dr. Brown was entertaining with cute stories and gave professional advice for us to pass along to the nursery.

I am very pleased with Dr. Brown & his staff i brought my dog in there a week ago and he was barely hanging on to life and we thought we were going to lose him, & Dr. Brown saved his life !! My dog is now walking again & back to his normal self im very thankful and appreciative for everything they done for my boy !! This will definitely be my vet from now on !! My dog was here for 5 days and had all kind of stuff done to him and my vet bill wasn't through the roof & he always worked out a payment plan for us !! I truly do believe they have compassionate staff but, the communication is sub par and their prices are higher than I've ever paid for basic or intensive vet care. My dog ended up having to be put down after a week and a half in their clinic due to old age and complications from untreated diabetes. I am confident that they did their best to save her but, she was beyond saving. My issue is, I wish they would have been a little more realistic with her survival chances. It's never easy to put an animal down but, at some point, it's got to be more likely that they deserve to rest. There were consistent issues with getting in contact with vet staff for updates during her stay in the clinic. I will say though, they waited a month to mail me the nearly three thousand dollar bill so, that's something I suppose.

We ended up taking a last minute trip and unfortunately our normal canine boarder was booked; so we booked a week for our fur baby here. When we would call to check on him, no one would tell us anything about him other than “he was good”. Not only this but they urged my mother in law to get a different flea and tick medication which she allowed and then charged her $68 for a TOPICAL!!! When we picked him up he would shy away from anyone who would try to pet him like he had been hit. Not only that but he was having explosive diarrhea episodes and wouldn’t eat or drink anything. After discussing this with his primary vet, they wrote him three scripts ($30). The diarrhea has been ongoing and to make matters worse he woke up this morning and yelped and was unable to use his back legs! So back to the vet we go to find out on top of all this he had had a Fibrocartilaginous Embolism (spinal stroke). The vet urged us to leave him for observation and later found out he NOW HAD WORMS!!! Another vet bill ($220) Our fur baby was in PERFECT HEALTH when we dropped him off. LIVID WOULD BE THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!

I loved this place in the beginning. They treated my dog for mange and a mite allergy and also nuetered one of my cats but when I decided that I would rather get my prescriptions from chewy so I didn’t have to go to the vet office every time they decided they would not send the faxes back for his medication and that they were not going to participate with chewy so I could get my dogs prescriptions to my home without having to make extra trips. For this reason I’m going to be seriously considering another vet.
