Check out my videos of the store and its prices! The prices are SO EXPENSIVE, you can buy the same items, new at stores for a fraction of the prices. I spoke with the person that does the prices, reminded him it's a thrift store, showed him a vase you can get at the Dollar Tree, and it was marked $8. It's the same with all their items! Prices are unbelievable! I don't know how they sell anything!

Huge store, tons of items in every department. Great customer service, brought me a cart when my arms were full and helped carry a TV. Negotiable prices (on larger items, at least). New furniture seems well-built and would last.

It's always fun to stop by and shop a little and check out the new stuff. We only bought 2 men's tee shirts today and the total was 7.50$. We will be back. To much to see in one trip.

Excellent prices and friendly staff. Supports a worthy cause. Clean and organized. Good parking. I feel safe shopping here. Drop boxes to donate your items after hours. I've never had a bad experience at ANY Center of Hope Thrift Store. By the way, this location in Saks is not ever busy!

This was once a GREAT place to find reusable items including clothes, bedding and household items. My experience over the last 5 months has convinced me to go to other recycle stores. I've had ONE staff worker be polite and responsive in the last 4 times I've been in there. Stock has depleted, which suggests to me that people are even donating at other locations, so it makes me wonder if there have been as many rude experiences as I've had.

This store is huge! They have some of everything and it is all neatly organized. The store is clean and neat. The employees are very personable; friendly, polite and helpful. I called to check whether they had a particular door that I needed and a young man named Dakota spoke to me on the phone. He took the time to go and physically look at what was there and let me know before I made a long drive to get there. I found exactly what I wanted and bought it for a very fair price.To say the least, I left there a very happy customer and will definitely go back again!This was the Anniston, AL store on Hwy 431

Prices have gotten ridiculous over the years! Many items are the same price or higher than buying brand new. Thrift stores are supposed to be for bargains! Selling donated items for such high prices is not a thrift store. Additionally, the store is dark and smells bad.

Update the hours for the store in Saks, the only store I’ve seen with inconsistencies closing early very disappointing when you only have 1 day a week. There’s an hour gap of time between the posted 4:30pm and 3:00pm closing early for church for the employees is understandable and expected but this part is frustrating

They are way over priced on some things more than retail and the music was so loud I had to keep my ears plugged and to talk to my mama I had holler. Not a fun experience and I will not go back.

The rap music was so loud I couldn't think. I don't mind any kind of music, but this was beyond the pale. We left before finishing shopping because it was so loud. I don't know if we will go back.

Only complaint is the lights can't really be seen when its dark out, the city need to get those guys some lights in the parking lot.

Went in looking for shirts to wear to work. I also found some glass storage containers, the good ones, along with a DVD and a Vera Bradley purse. 😁 God blessed and I was able to purchase everything I needed for less than $40.00. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 The cashier was very courteous in the midst of everything that he was facing before I stepped up to the register. He maintained a professional demeanor and a genuine smile. Blessings to him. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

For a store that receives free item donations you would think they could price their items better.Went in to buy kids shoes and they had a price of $6 on them. Walmart has the same shoes for $8 new plus used couches $80 / $60 for the matching loveseat and $50 for the matching chair I understand you have bills to pay but how are these prices helping your customers base

Normally, I don't do this. Generally, I like center of hope. I go there often and buy a lot of things from there, but I had an awful experience this morning. Yesterday I went and bought multiple things there: clothes, shoes, furniture and some space heaters. When i got home yesterday, all three space heaters did not work. I had to go back today and pick up the furniture I bought, so I brought the space heaters back. I told them they did not work. Not only did they plug them all in ad if i was lying to them, but they tried to tell me that there were no refunds or exchanges on these items, pointing to a tiny sign behind a big display. I was understandably upset as I work hard for my money. I had to fight tooth and nail to get a store credit, minus the tax i paid, which, honestly, at this point I barely want to use there. The manager berated me like a child for using adult words there, stating he doesn't cuss. Not for nothing, you are supposed to be a Christian? Stop trying to steal people's money with faulty merchandise. I'm going to use my store credit, but I'm not going back there after that. Really disappointed. I definitely recommend making them test any electronics you want to buy before you buy.

Pricey any decent item seems to be placed on the shelves because it has rips stains or other defects. Gone are the days finding unique bargains rewarding you of your time digging endlessly through racks of items....

This place has a huge selection; however, most of the general merchandise is not priced or it is written on the items. Also pay VERY close attention to the items for damages, tears and miss parts. I'm not sure if they get in to big of a hurry or just like selling trashing junk. And they don't offer refunds, you get a store credit. The return policy would be fine if there was merchandise worth buying.

I am not sure what is actually going on here. The clothes and shoes are retail priced. I asked for a lower price on a shirt because it had a hole in it and was told no! Who is going to pay $4.50 for a shirt with a hole? The worst thing I've witnessed was an older lady with dementia and they kept saying the store was closing in 20 mins and it was 7pm. Her daughter kept having to explain that "no its not 7:40 mama, Its 7:00" Finally she got so upset the daughter had to take her outside to the car so they could leave. I thought this was a christian company? Lying is still a sin even when you want to leave early... I also overheard a lady explain to a manager that her house had just burnt down and would they help her on the price of a new Christmas Tree she was also told no. Disgraceful!! I ended up getting her name and got my church family to get her a new tree, decorations and lots of other things for her family. Again, I thought (until then) this was a Christian Company. Let me tell you, I don't believe it is that at all. Go to another store. You will get better things at actual Thrift Store prices!!

Used to be great, but they don't want to sell pc parts and only sell a system as a whole. When I knew the electronics guy a couple years back I could part pick, glad he graduated, but miss my buddy letting me pick out parts on pc's that wont boot for whatever reason. The oxford super thrift won't lower prices and over price much of the store items, so this is definitely the better center of hope imho

Some of the best prices of any thrift store around; even better than its sister store on 78 in Oxford! The store is fairly well organized considering it's a thrift store, is well staffed, and very clean, (again, considering it is a thrift store) If you are searching for fair-priced furnishing and decor, this is the place for you. They are also very fair on prices of sporting goods and exercise equipment.

I love the store, but I honestly cannot list a SINGLE time I have been in there where I was not looked at/talked to like a piece of meat and made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the comments made about me loud enough where I can hear and have someone looking me up and down every time I try to look at furniture. I hesitate every time I come to this store to weigh out of whatever I need to get is worth the demeaning manner I'm treated. I am not there to flirt or be gawked at, I'm there to shop and I deal with this almost every time. Sometimes even in front of my kids! Please just allow customers to shop and stop trying to allow your personal agenda of finding a girlfriend keep customers from feeling comfortable.

Great place to spend money, it goes to helping the guys who work there that are working on changing their lives. The merchandise is thoroughly inspected before its put on the floor, only the things they would buy themselves are put out to sale. If you want to be treated with respect and valued as a customer its a great place to go.

Its a good place to get alot of things very cheap. They have just about everything you could want or need. The one in oxford had a hospital bed when i needed to find one ASAP when my mom came home from hospital and i got a good price on it too.

The staff gave me rude looks while I was in the store, and when I got to my car, they were at the window making fun of my size through the window while making eye contact with me. Very rude. Very upsetting. I expected more from people who are “doing God’s work.”
