Had a greeter call my job to make a complaint on me while I wasn't at work, and the incident wasn't even affiliated with my job. I did contact HR and I will be following up on this by the end of the week.After being watched by the associates in the self checkout area, my entire transaction, scan for scan, she asked me to check my receipt, I showed her without her being able to see my card information, and she snatches it out of my hand and individually checks each item.After she started letting people go around me, I ask why would she ask to check my receipt when I was just watched by four other employees and she makes a smart reply, so I told her she wouldn't check another one, and I meant exactly that! I don't care what I have in my buggy.She calls my job and complains which was for what? I wasn't there!It's not my fault that the economy has made people lazy, and they can't scan those high price items in my cart! So you'd assume I steal it? That could be fixed if you'd go back to those watching us actually do the work.Hopefully HR did look into this, because as I said, I'm following up on this.

I absolutely cannot stand the new checkout lines, every employee is new because they finally got rid of the ones they had to probably pay benefits for. I just hope that they stay on top of the self checkouts while they have us rounded up in cattle lines

The alexander city walmart is one of the absolute worst walmarts in Alabama they never have anything you are looking for and even if it says they have it on the app they usually don't and if they do you will have to hunt it down and it isn't going to be where it's supposed to be and good luck trying to get someone to help you one time there was a broken jar of jelly on the ground and I told a worker and she just said ok and walked off now there are some good workers but they are few and far between I just wish they would do better

Horrible service cannot find anyone to give you assistance and it is either self-checkout only or 1 cashier who is on a bad mood. Online shoppers will not let you down the aisles. Too many out of stock items. Sylacauga location

Front men's room was atrocious. Same problem as any other Walmarx, too many employees walking around texting, not enough janitorial staff.

Thank you for allowing a safe area for truckers to rest. I was able to get my shopping done and be down for my 10 hours. So very convenient. God bless you.

What can I say Walmart is Walmart you have to scan your own groceries,Bag your own stuff while watchers make sure you don't steal anything! It's RIDICULOUS in my opinion cause they should be paying us to do their jobs since they don't have to do it anymore

This Walmart is horrible! Shelves barely stocked! Rude employees! Rude general manager name David! Horrible to their employees, accusing them of stealing when they're not because everything in the buggy is on the receipt and a lawyer will be called!!! DON'T SHOP HERE!!!

They do a good job on keeping the store clean. They could use some improvements in the parking lot and some new carts though.Added 7/23/23The store cleanliness has really went down. The bathrooms especially.

Always a pleasant experience when I have to stop in at this location in Alexander City, Al. I own a whole home/business generator installation and service company. So I usually purchase between 60-75 batteries every month for new installations and services and this Walmart always has the supplies I need and an associate present in automotive to assist when needed.

The associates are not very helpful if you are desperate to find anything. They might point you in a direction, but might not be the right one. Their fresh fruit is not fresh all the time. Compared to Publix, Publix has fresher everything. They might be more costly, but it is worth shopping at Publix.

If I could give negative stars I would . You start shopping and the shelves are half empty . If you ask for help the staff has no clue where to find the items nor care to try to find a way to help you. It's like you are troubling them to stop the personal calls or text they always seem to be on . You tell the managers and they seem just as annoyed bc you asked them to look into it . We might as well stock the shelves, check ourselves out, and don't get me started on the conditions of the restrooms. Customer service has definitely gone out the window in 2023 . This is what happens when there is no alternative to shopping. I personally can't wait for Publix to open up in Alexander City. I just hope they can find people who want to work. The ones at Wal Mart act like we made them take the job.

Really picked ovet. Produce was the worst I have seen. Most produce was gone or a few rotten things left. Looks like we are preparing for a hurricane and we are NOT! NO deli meat ... they said the scale was down! Really? Awful Tillman's Corner Walmart!

I went in here 2times 8 hours apart today to buy cigarettes. Both times I was denied because no one was working at that register. But they have someone who checks your receipt at the door, which I never show it to them. I’m not sure what they’re going to do about it. Anyways, Walmarts about to put their self under with the going full check out, etc. people want convenience. I understand if you just have a couple of items but no one wants to spend a lot of money on a basket full of groceries and then checked yourself out lol. Keep it up Walmart. Everyone’s replaceable even corporations.
