This was my 1st time going into this particular Home Depot. It was a smaller than average building, so it had more of an intimate feeling like a small town hardware store. It was great! Instead of walking down several extremely long aisles hoping to find an employee, you could look in almost any direction and see an employee willing to answer questions. It was a fantastic experience. The 4 to 5 employees that I spoke with were all friendly and helpful. Of course, they aren't able to display as much variety as the larger stores, but it was worth it. Oddly enough, their lighting section seemed to me like it had more interesting choices than the larger stores.

Was disappointed in one of the lumber staff members. We needed wood side crown molding for a house, and the lady was saying yall cut it yourself." My father was with me recovering from a stroke. The woman was complaining about her leg, not knowing my father just started walking from being paralyzed. The lady left me cutting the molding and walked off. My dad was trying to cut it. I ended up doing it... sometimes people dont know others' problems. Everyone else was so nice.

I have never been in a Home Depot where the employees are the most helpful and courteous. Waiting at the front door to help you. I am remodeling a home at Lake Martin and transitioning from Florida. Awesome people!

Older employee with a visor approached our work vehicle in the parking lot and told us home depot wants customers to park near the store and we should leave the back spaces for employees. He then pulled into the spaces in front of us before walking inside for what I assume was his shift. Enjoy your shift, bud.(We needed some stuff for our trailer that was attached and we didn't want to avoid clogging the closer spots for standard vehicles.)

Nice and cool , worker on duty in the nuts and bolts department was a great help. Knew exactly where to find what we were looking for. Great customer service give that guy a raise. Talked to one guy yesterday who made a key for us. Seventy four years old he said and he did an outstanding job also.

I come here all the time for gardening things but the 2 star review is for the profiling of customers. My father comes in a lot because they're remodeling their house. He's visibly sick and unwell in and out of doctors and anytime he goes to this store alone management accuses him of looking shady and follows him around the store and babysits him down aisles. Never once has he done anything sketchy and has always paid for everything he's ever gotten which is usually cabinets or larger expensive items or tools he needs to finish what he's doing. It's gotten to the point he doesn't like going a lone because they keep harassing him.

Extremely unprofessional management staff with no respect whatsoever. I’ll be driving to Sylacauga from now on specifically to avoid the staff because of the way they treat people. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Whoever’s in charge of this store should be fired.

Wish I could give zero stars.Paid for a washer and dryer and all the hoses and connections and setup deliver for 2 weeks later. Had my wife take off work to be able to receive the washer and dryer. On the day of the delivery, the driver showed up and did not have the items so he left. 4 hours later and we still have not been told anything. So I call the store and get the run around for 2 hours trying to figure out what is going on. The home depot employee is unable to contact the delivery driver, I guess he had her blocked, so they had my wife contact him. Very unprofessional and very rude. Apparently the items did not get loaded onto the truck. Never once did we get an apology and they were not flexible to deliver the items to us. So we are getting a refund and will go see Lowes.

I've previously left a positive review(see below) but was highly disappointed today as a result of poor management.1. Upon arriving, there was no way to sanitize carts as they had "run out of wipes last week". Then don't just stand there, use ammonia or bleach and wipe them down with paper towels.2. The floor space in front of the checkouts is crammed with stuff, forcing clients to stand close together in a single line. Remove the stuff and allow people to spread out and stand in multiple lines.3. The card reader was broken and could not read chips, forcing clients to use the older (and easily hackable) swipe technology.Note that items 1 and 2 are health and safety issues. These should be corrected TODAY. Item 3 allows for easier identity theft. A good manager would not let any of these happen. Therefore one star for today's poor experience.While this is a small store, so it may not have the exact item you need, the people here are the friendliest and most helpful I’ve encountered at any Home Depot store anywhere.

I love the Home Depot's knowledgeable people, great service, and made a couple of friends there as well. They always have what I need and are always ready to help load when it's bigger than I can handle. And if you ever need help in gardening, ask for Sue. She knows what she's doing and has become a good friend when I just need suggestions.

I went with my mother who is 62 yrs old to get a few boards from the lumber department. After searching we found what we were looking for and I started loading the lumber. Finally an associate approached slowly. Then he acted like helping us load the rest was a bother to him. Afterwards I walked inside for screws and while I was searching two associates passed and didn't even offer to help me find what I was looking for. This home depot has a limited inventory compared to others and on this day sorry customer assistance.

There was a greeter at the front door who ask if he could help me and he directed me to the correct aisles. I was very impressed with this store.On my way I passed 3 employees standing in the middle aisle leaning on a display of items and talking.I went on to my area of the store and spent 10 minutes looking for wood putty. I found it and moved on to the other item and aisle 24.After a few minutes of looking for rubber washers to water seal my DIY project I looked around for some help. There a female employee I found said she would send someone. I continued to look for the washers. Two other pages were announced over the speaker but no one for plumbing.I found something that would work in a kit but I only needed washers. After several minutes a gentleman came and helped another customer. When he had finished I motioned for him to come to the section of the isle where I thought the washers would be. He didn't move. I finally walked up to him and inquired if the the washers were sold separately and he said I needed to by the entire kit.I said ok and walked back by the guys leaning on the display still talking.I then went to the Self Checkout and paid.I wondered how a initial great impression went south so quickly.

The staff was very friendly today, offering to help me find items or giving advice on products. My husband purchased quite a few 2x4s. As my husband and I were loading them into the van, Tederick was collecting shopping carts. He ran across the parking lot to help us finish loading! What a great employee!!

Very friendly, yet ill trained/prepared staff. Few know where to locate specific items within the store, if said items are even in stock. The main issue with this location is their lack of ability to keep their shelves stocked. Which is a mystery in itself, seeing as they are virtually overstaffed for such a small location. This store has the potential to do good business, it's clearly lacking the necessary leadership to do so.

Went here and it was raining cat's and dog's, I was told they had 14 roofing nail guns, an elderly man tried to help us but he did want climb to the top shelf so wet and found another employee who was a girl , she went and got a high rise lift but she didn't want to really help , so we got a few more things and left and waited until the next day and went to another store and it only took about five minutes to get it!!

Though I was shopping for something quite different than I'm used to...more than one associate offered their assistance. Then, the cashier helped me save $25.00, by opening a Home Depot account. I was quite impressed with my very first visit, and will definately go back soon for mini-blinds.

Due to the hurricane that came through Sylacauga, I made an ordered from the Alexander City store about a week ago. I spoke with Jessica multiple times. She was always very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. When the person came to pick it up for me, Jessica realized that I ordered the small picese of plywood. She took it upon herself to call me so I could do a refund and purchase the whole sheets that I needed. I say you have an asset in her. She proved that she went above and beyond her duties. Because of her I will be back shopping at this Alexander City store.

I guess I just went in on the wrong day. Both women working on the floor we're rude and seemed liked they could care less of what I was asking for. Maybe if the staff there could be a a little nicer then people like me wouldn't have to write bad reviews.
