These guys were awesome! They took care of our cats for an extended stay. They kept us informed and often sent us pictures. I have a Sassy cat and these guys handled her like pros. Now they're all friends. We will most certainly be using these guys again.

We’ve been driving an hour from Montgomery to board and groom our dogs at SStar for many years.After trying a few local places, our dogs were not happy when we picked them up. They love SStar and jump out and run to the door when we drive up. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly-always greeting us with a smile. They groom our golden and she always looks perfect. Our family highly recommends SStar for both boarding and grooming!!

During the end stages of my grandmother's battle with cancer she boarded her schnauzer Buddy here. Sadly she passed away while Buddy was boarded and when my grandfather came to pick him up the day of the funeral (a Saturday) the owner refused to take payment. They had been boarding Buddy at Southern Star for 10 years. My grandfather was appreciative but still wanted to pay. He went back the following Monday to try again to pay because he just wanted them to know how important it was to him that someone had taken care of his furry friend during such a difficult time and they would not let him pay. This meant so much to me and my family. The people at Southern Star are amazing and care not only for the pets but the people as well.

This is the worst place to board your dog, unless you want your dog to get sick and die. We may have boarded him under the previous owners. We left specific instructions for our dog, which clearly was not followed. Our dog's health worsen.
