We were going to another vet (Walking on the Moon in Union Springs) which was absolutely wonderful and switched to Dr. Sarah Champion at Abbie Creek. Dr champion was very nice and we really liked her. My mother-in-law was going to Dr Arnold and we got her to switch to Dr champion with all of our animals. We moved out of the area but my mother-in-law was still bringing hers to Abbie Creek. We're back in town now taking care of our mother who broke her hip and realized we are out of heart medicine for our yorkiepoo. It is important that he gets his heart medicine as he has congestive heart failure and called for a refill. They told me they could not refill it without an examination. I told them he had just had an examination and our vet was supposed to have sent his records over. They said that they would not fill them unless they personally examined him first and would not do it until Monday. Today is Friday. I stressed the fact that he is out of his heart medicine and she said she can't do anything until Monday. I asked her if we could get enough pills to get through the weekend until we brought him in on Monday for an exam and she said no and told us to go somewhere else. I stressed the fact again that it is for congestive heart failure and he could die. She said she cannot do anything for us and suggested we go to another vet in the area. We will and will be taking ALL 6 of our animals somewhere else from now on. We have had our prescriptions for him refilled there twice before with no problem. Walking on the moon was a wonderful vet and our dog loved when we were going there so we will probably be going back there. It's a drive to Union Springs but it is worth it. People drive from halfway across the state to go there because they are so good. So long Abbie Creek. Thanks for caring, ha! NOT.

I absolutely love the staff at Dr. Champion’s office and trust them completely with the care of our fur babies! They’re friendly, fast, and they get the job done right. Love being able to have my pups meds shipped to us on a schedule so we never forget. They’re a solid 10/10 and I recommend them every time!

I brought my Oliver (cat) in because he got very sick from a flea treatment I gave him. They took him for the day with no apt. and took great care of him. Awesome people run the place. My regular Vet (Dr. McCoy) was on vacation and his staff recommended Abbie Creek. I called and they were able to work in my 3 very sneezy little kittens. Dr was very good with the kittens and helped get started on meds. She even had her staff split the pills for me! I will definitely use her services again!

We normally used a different vet, but our cat needed to be seen asap and that vet had a 2 week wait. So we went to Abby Creek. They treated her so well. She can be a difficult cat to handle but they handled her with such care. The next week I had another cat that needed to be seen and again they were wonderful with her. We told them that most of our cats are cats that have been dumped and we just fix them and keep them, and that we foster kittens. These awesome folks sent us home with enough ear wash and ear drops for everyone - as opposed to having us bring each one in. To keep this from becoming a novel - we love Abby Creek Animal Hospital and the staff. This is where our animals will be going from now on. Thanks ya'll for all that you do.

Dr. Champion has been a blessing to my family for my animals. She has went above and beyond to give my animals the best treatment available. She came out after hours to treat my horse for colic and has given my old dogs more life with her amazing knowledge and treatment. We appreciate Abbie Creek!!

We came into town after Hurricane Ida to visit family. Our area had no power and our Vet had evacuated. Our dog needed her Apoquel refilled and had a horrible rash and was gnawing at her paws until they bled. We called a friend, he recommended Dr. Sarah. We called and they took us as soon as we drove into town. The staff and Dr. Sarah were exceptional. We are extremely grateful!

A big thanks to Abbie Creek for being there for my mom and dad's dog Lucy . You were there when they needed you in an emergency so I would say y'all are top notch. I live in Florida and she could not stop saying enough great things about you. How clean the place is and how caring and professional you all are. Was quoted 200 to 300 for ear crops (2 puppies)once done they hit me with a 760 dollar bill said it includes follow up appointments and meds....then they charged 40 for bandages on ears? Seems like that should have been covered with the surgery.....the next appointment they done more of the same seems like very poor management and very little to no ( honest) communication. Then refused to medicate because i couldn't pay another 130 dollars for bandages and meds for ears ( that i was told was all inclusive of the original charge for the ear crop) when did it become socially acceptable to openly lie to customers and then get mad when they call you on it

Dr. Sarah Champion is only vet in the Wiregrass area who specializes in equine care. Others will do equine care but don't have the experience and knowledge she has. I did my research before using her and was due to the fact I had a very rare case going on with my horse I had already had two different vets out to look into for me. This woman does not get far enough recognition for her work in my opinion. Contacted Dr. Champion through email to do a farm call a week before Christmas. It was on suspected foundering. Answered each email with urgency, very late in that evening with concern for an animal she had never encountered. Detailed what to do and not do before she was able to come out for the farm call visit. Worked her in the day before Christmas Eve. Most vets would be on vacation, not taking on new clients during the holidays. Emailed me an estimation of what my visit would cost for her to drive from Abbeville to Dothan to do an exam, blood draw, blood test, xrays and her suspicions on causes my horse was having. De. Champions suspicions were correct on diagnosis also. This woman has saved my horse from going down a very dangerous, miserable rode she may have not been able to recover from. I can not thank this woman enough for her care, experience, knowledge and compassion with my first experience with Abbie Creek Animal Hospital. You have definitely gained a new customer and will be using Dr. Champion for all of June's care from now on. Tank was already a patient of Dr. Champion when I became his new owner and will continue that. All of my animals will now be going to Dr. Champion for their care. I would like to personally say thank you for the care you gave June. Looking into all the different health issues that could have been causing her episodes and setting my mind at ease.

We called them to come take a look at our horse, we gave them our address and we were quoted $200After they left they sent us an invoice of $300We called and someone at the office refused to let us talk to the vet. All we were told is that “whoever you talked to gave you an inaccurate quote”We will not be doing business with them againI see they have several good reviews and I was expecting to leave a good review as well, but with that said I can not recommend this placeThese people straight up lied to us
